☆パリ散歩（ノートルダム寺院界隈） Stroll in Paris (Cathedral de Notre Dam)

私は、旅先で時間の余裕があれば、あちこちを歩き回るのが大好きです。
今日は、5月18日の午後、パリ北駅からノートルダム寺院があるシテ島までを歩いた時のお話です。

駅前のマジェンタ通りを東駅の方角に向かい、東駅で右に曲がってストラスブール大通りをセーヌ川の方向に歩いて行くと、シテ島に辿り着きます。

セーヌ川の手前には、ポンピドゥ・センターやパリ市役所（1628年建造、1872年再建）があります。


Whenever I have some free time during the trip, I like to walk around here and there.

Today, I want to take up a story on May 18th in 2009 when I walked the way from the Paris North Station to the Cite Island where there stands the Cathedral de Notre Dame. Just in front of this station, I found the Magenta Boulevard. I made my way along this boulevard to the Paris East Station where I turned to the right, and continued a stroll along the Boulevard of Strassbourg toward the Seine.

The Ponpidou Center and Paris Municipal Office (originally builtin 1628 and rebuilt in 1872) are located in the area just before crossing the Seine.

セーヌ川にかかるアルコル橋を渡ると、シテ島です。
この島には、ノートルダム寺院（1225年建造）を始め、最高裁判所（10世紀頃建造、18世紀再建）、コンシェルジュリ（14世紀建造）などの歴史的建造物が存在します。

When you cross the Arcole bridge, you are now in the Cite Island. In this island, there are historical buildings like the Cathedral of Notre-Dame (built in 1225), Supreme Court (originally built in 10th century and rebuilt in 18th century.) and Cociegerie (built in 14th century).

たまたま、この日は何らかの祭日らしく、セーヌ左岸のサン・ミシェル河岸の通りに人だかりがありました。私も近づいてみると、騎馬兵の一団がオルセー美術館の方面に向かってパレードをしているのを見ることができました。

By chance, probably due to a special kind of day, I found a crowd of people standing on the riverside of Quai St. Michel. When I came close the people, I noticed the horse soldiers parading toward the direction of the Museum of Orsay.
