Today's Live @Sweet Baisil was great!
This show was sold out.
Everybody enjoyed this 3hours of Aretha Franklin's amaging songs!
Brenda Vaughn was super and so was every singer (Yuri,Maru,Ikumi,Koshi,Gats).
The band was soulful and funky.
I played organ for almost every song.
This made me very happy, because Billy Preston and Donny Hathaway played organ on Aretha's original recordings.
Next month, I will produce my "Tribute To Billy Preston" show @ Blues Alley Japan.
I can feel the same happy feeling, playing organ and keyboard.

Tonight`s live at Cha Cha House was the first time to perform with my band and Ebony Fay,so we presented an all new menu! Neo-soulful,and gospel,Aretha,Angie Stone,India Irie,and more. It was so much fun,and as usual The Cha Cha House was full of music lovers!
Do you like my pink shirt? Actually I wanted to be as cool as drummer JR Robinson,who is always at the peak of fashion!

"Cha Cha House Valentines Day Special" show with Yuri was a success! As usual,the house was full. Many lucky ladies got my Valentines chocolate gift (American style),and lucky me,I received so much chocolate!(Japan style)
Yuri chan was so good! This is the first time with my band,and we all had such a good time. Kubota Toshinobu and his staff came to show support,so all those Kubota fans who came down were delighted!
Hank and I traded solos for Beyonce`s "Naughty Girl". Hank played an "Egyptian" solo,and I answered with my "Indian Snake Charmer" solo.
Here I am with the Pink Panther. We are sharing a bit of chocolate that I received last night.Both of us love chocolate! Thank You!!!!!!
The Pink Panther received a lot of gifts from his fans! He is happy! He says "Thank You"!

Well! Two days with Silk at the Osaka Blue Note was a great success! Silk loved the Philip Woo Band, and gave us much respect and deep thank yous. The band was perfect,professional and exciting! Thanks,guys! The Silk members made me feel lonely for Atlanta,Georgia,their hometown. The Osaka Blue Note staff was so nice. They gave me and the band the royal treatment!

Welcome to Philip Woo`s Bonenkai party! Wow,this place is packed! Every table was reserved,and people are ready to get down!
This young man could not help himself,he had to get up and dance for the room! Its "Soul Train" style! He was a good dancer,and everybody got his groove!
This has been a good year! I remember all of your faces,and can feel your support,when you come again and again to see my band! Thank You! Ureshii!
I got happy after having my "dinosaur imo jochu special" thanks to Cha Cha house staff! So now I think I wanna dance!
Im dancing(!) Actually,I was telling everybody about James Brown,and how my sister would pay me to dance the James Brown ("The Skate") dance for her girlfriends. So,Brenda persuaded me to show everybody. As a bonus,the audience decided to pay me,tooo! Just like when I was 7 years old! Ha,ha!
How was my dancing?
Brenda`s family sent a DVD from America,and for a surprise,we showed it to her as she was coming to the stage for the second set! Her eyes got wet,and she was so happy. Then the birthday cake came out,and we sang for Brenda. Happy Birthday Brenda!We all love you!
Guest singers Argie Phine-Martin and Robbie Danzie joined us onstage. Tokyo`s finest world-class singers.

What a great party we had! I`m so happy that all of you came. If you didnt,please come next time! Next year we will have another end-of-year party,so dont miss it. Me and the band really love the Cha Cha House and manager Yuko. I will play there next year,so come and see us!

Everybody Cha,Cha,Cha! What a great night at Cha Cha House. The house was packed,and the music was hot! Thank you to all of you for making this night Ultra-special!
Today,I sang! Im not a good singer,but I love to sing! Excuse me if Im not great,but with every member singing together with me,I feel safe!
Well,if Im going to sing,I must have a drink to make my body relax! The Cha Cha House staff made me a special "Dinosaur Imo Jyochu" drink,to help me sing better!
Two guitars is too cool! Satoshi Izumi came as a special guest,and made it double funky,with The Hank.This jam was a highlight of the evening!
Doesn`t it feel good,when the whole room is dancing? Well of course it does! All in all,tonight was a great success. The house was packed,and the music was hot! Everybody was happy,and me too! Please dont miss my end-of-year (bonenkai) party on December 30th. This is Brenda Vaughn`s birthday,and we will end the year in style!

I said before,that Mobius is a place that I feel most free to express myself. Playing just acoustic piano,I can lead the music anyplace,and find new things to play each time.
Ebony is a wonderful singer,and we will surely do more in the near future! Look out for a fresh groove!
