最前列の席へ行くと、なんと、ブレンダとJay Stixxsが（驚）！
結局、みんなで仲良く座ってショーを見ることに（笑）
およそ２２年前、Philipはホイットニーのツアーメンバーだったのですが、
今回のバンドメンバーのほとんどが顔見知りでした。

My old friend ,bassist Chuck Rainey was in town recently with Marlena Shaw.
We had a jam session with "Rainey`s Band",and had a great time!
Where it all began... The king of Club Jazz, Roy Ayers.
He has influenced a generation of young musicians.

I joined Roy and band onstage and played a piano solo....
Roy Ayers gave me my first big music business job 33 years ago !
He took me to New York , and was a mentor to me!

I took a day trip to the mountains...
Near the water, I can feel peaceful. It was a perfect spring day.
Getting away from the crowds of Tokyo, is the best way to clear my mind.
I can feel inspiration from nature, and let the music, and my ideas flow!
This year is the time to get creative !
Today, I`m offering New Years prayers.
I`m asking for good health,good judgement, and a prosperous and happy year for not only myself, but all of you who support me.
I plan to be creative ,and work to fulfill all of my goals !

I went to the Cotton Club tonight to see the Harvey Mason Trio. Wow,what a great night it was ! I wanted to see this live show ,as 3 of my favorite musicians were together onstage .Harvey Mason has been an important drummer since he appeared on Herbie Hancock`s "Headhunters" ,one of the greatest albums I can think of ! Since that time ,his work with so many of music`s top artists,and his own group Fourplay make him one of the world`s great drummers.
Pat Martino is one of the world`s best guitarists,he has been playing and recording for almost 50 years ! He has been on so many albums in my collection along with many of the best organists in the world . He was a gracious man,the ultimate gentleman,and very humble and down-to-earth.
Tony Monaco,the organist,I`ve been watching over the past few years ,on You Tube. He , to me, is one of the most important organists of today. His sound, technique , soul , spirit , emulation of the masters with his own original style, makes him my favorite organist today !!! Thanks , Harvey for bringing Tony Monaco to Japan !!!!
