The United Nations Charter prohibits the use of force to settle territorial disputes. President Zelensky has started a military solution to "recapture the Donbass region" as per his "election pledge". The Ukrainian War was launched by the Ukrainian president's "dangerous act of provocation" which heightened tensions with Russia.

The “Ukrainian War” began with President Zelensky’s “election measures.” A former comedian and inexperienced in state affairs, Zelensky was elected on a promise to end the Donbass War and prevent oligarch corruption from affecting the Ukrainian state.

Ukraine has "advanced" a "plan" to buy "more" military drones from Turkey. In response, Russia said Ukraine's "act of military provocation" against "organizations of the Donbass separatists" has reignited tensions in the Donbass region. It "strengthened the view" that it would have "serious consequences" for "the entire Ukrainian state."

So, days after the drone reconnaissance and attack, Russian Army tanks were deployed near the Ukrainian border, with at least one battalion of tanks assembled on November 7, 2021.
