こちらが「のぞみ」

This one is 「The Superexpress Nozomi.」

こちらが「ひかり」

This one is 「Hikari.」

私には同じく見えます

What's the difference between Shinkansen,the bullet train「Nozomi」and 「Hikari」?

自信はないのですが

I'm not sure but...

「ひかり」より「のぞみ」の方が停車する駅が少なく短い時間で行けるってことくらいでしょうか

The Superexpress Nozomi stops at fewer stations compared to Hikari and can go to the destination faster.

その分料金も高いです

It means at the same time that the Superexpress Nozomi's fare is higher.

停車する駅を確認してから乗るのが良いと思います（止まらない場合もあるので）

You'd better check in advance, before you get on, if the Superexpress Nozomi stops at the station you want to get off　or not.

It doesn't stop at certain stations.

「のぞみ」の指定席のみ、「ひかり」「こだま」と料金が違います

The ticked for the reserved seat fare on the Superexpress Nozomi is plus 200 yen(Shin Osaka - Hiroshima).

（新大阪-広島間だと+200円）

自由席なら、「のぞみ」「ひかり」「こだま」全て同じ料金です

The fare itself is the same.

見た目はあまり変わりません

It looks quite the same.

運転速度が違います

The speed is different.

東海道新幹線内（東京－新大阪・以下東海道に略）は全ての列車が車両にかかわらず270km/hです

From Tokyo to Shin Osaka, all the Shinkansen (the bullet train) runs at the speed of 270km/h.

山陽新幹線内（新大阪－博多・以下山陽に略）は500系「のぞみ」が300km/h

From Shin Osaka to Hakata, the Superexpress Nozomi runs at the speed of 300km/h.

「ひかりレールスター」は285km/h

The Shinkansen Hikari runs at the speed of 285km/h.

「こだま」はほとんどが220km/hです

The Shinkansen Kodama runs at the speed of 220km.h.


動画の中の彼女が驚いて叫んでいるのは

「のぞみ！！！料金が同じなのに速い」

男友だちの声が「同じに見えるけど...」

彼女「違う、のぞみ！！！」

In this You Tube, the lady is shouting 「Nozomi!!! The same price but faster.」

Her friend replies 「Looks the same to me.」

「No, Nozomi!!!Wow!」

ただ気になるのは

One thing that I am concerned is

高齢者割引の「ジパング倶楽部」は、のぞみ乗車には利用できないということ

that the aged discount is not valid on the Superexpress Nozomi.
