VXDIAG Volvo VIDA failed to enter user name solution

Error:

The VXDIAG VCX NANO Volvo VIDA2014D startup screen username field is readonly, so I can’t type admin. I’m following the demo video, but I’m stuck. Any idea why? I’m using windows 7. Are there more specific requirements?

 

Solved!

I got it working, but it required some modification. In the vida\patch folder there is a cmd file that executes OSQL.EXE, but it is using the x86 path instead of the x64 path, so I changed the line to run via Program Files (x86) instead of %ProgramFiles% and ran the cmd manually from the powershell command line, reboot, and now the username field is no longer read-only, and Vida seems to be running.

VXDIAG VCX NANO GM and AC Delco Software Review

The other reviews claiming this tool doesn’t do what its supposed to is due to them not understanding how to use it.

I have a pretty powerful automotive scanner that is bi-directional but I needed to be able to download AC Delco software to program a brand new BCM that came blank.

It comes with pre-loaded GM software that you would otherwise have to pay for from AC Delco, but that wasn’t what I needed, although it’s nice to have. I needed the J2534 pass-thru protocol (GM Calls it an MDI). My only complaint is initially the AC Delco automated programming software you purchase from the site wouldn’t recognize the MDI tool. After updating the drivers from VXDIAG, upgrading the firmware on the actual hardware, and ALSO loading the drivers that AC Delco recommends, the tool finally showed up through the MDI selection process.

 

You also need to have the VXDIAG software running in the background that recognizes the tool is connected before loading the GM software. Once that was all set up, the pass thru worked great, the programming process was simple and intuitive, and I was able to get the BCM programmed without an issue.

It wasn’t a simple plug and play like some would probably like, but it’s also only $105 for this tool (I got the WiFi version), unlike the Bosch MDI that is exponentially more expensive.

I will be purchasing more of the VXDIAG tools for other manufacturers now knowing their hardware is effective and reasonably priced.

VXDIAG Ford failed to Change IDS Language to Russian?

Problem:

Hi, i cannot change vxdiag vcx nano Ford IDS language to Russian.  I am using IDS v117 and Windows 7 Russian version operating system.

I try to change language to Russian, but it still display in English? Any idea how to solve it?

 

 

Solution:

If you are using our IDS software (can be downloaded free on www.vxdiagshop.com “Download” menu), it does not support Russian language.

VXDIAG Ford IDS supports following languages:

Vident iLink iAuto iMax Series Scanner Register Guide

Customer: I just bought an Vident iLInk400  and the authorization license, but still failed to authorize it. It said I hadn’t registered it yet. Could you tell me the procedure for registration?

The registration process of Vident iLink series, iAuto Series and iMax Series is the same. Please see the detailed steps below:

 

Step 1:

Install Update Client.

1). Install Update Client iScanzilla from the disc in the package, or visit www.videnttech.com and click Support & Service on the menu to download it.

 

 

2) Install Update Client from the CD that comes in the product package. Alternatively, unzip the downloaded file and find iScanzilla Installer to install Update Client to your computer (WIN XP, WIN7, WIN8 and WIN10).

 

Step 2:

Create your Vident Account.

1). Take out TF card (push and eject) from your scan tool, then insert it to the computer via card reader.

 

2). Click the desktop icon to launch Update Client and click Register. Or you can click the Sign Up button on the right upper side of the website (www.videnttech.com) to create an user account.

 

 

3). Fill out necessary information and click submit.

 

 

Step 3:

Register your iLink400.

1). Once logged in iScanzilla, select Register Products, tick “001” in the form and enter the product’s serial number & password, then click submit.

 

(Note: Connect the scan tool to your computer through the USB cable, then select Setup -> About to check the serial number and register password. )

2). A confirmation box should be shown confirming successful registration. Or you can register the device in the member center when logged in the website.

VXDIAG IDS Ford Transit 16 Selection Not Available Solution

Problem:
I have the vxdiag vcx nano Ford wifi interface connected with my Ford Transit 2016 reg 2.2L diesel.  The IDS won't let me select a module, saying "Selection Not Available".
I am using the IDS V114.01. Any idea how to solve it?

VXDIAG VCX NANO GM GDS2 ErrorCode 6 Solution

Error 1:
I have installed the GDS2 for vxdiag vcx nano gm on Windows 7. When try to launched GDS2 software, an error code 6 popup .

Error 2:
No connection to the internet is currently available. GDS2 will run in offline mode.

Possible reason:
Incorrect installation of GDS2 software.

Because there should be 1 GDS2 software shortcut on desktop, while  you have 2 GDS2 software shortcuts.

Clutch:

Importance of clutch pedal free-play. Anything less than the correct amount of free play (or clearance) will result in clutch slip, because the pressure plate will be unable to exert its full pressure on the friction plate, clutch linkage adjustment to compensate for clutch wear.

This routine is to change language displayed in the instrument.

 

Seat match:

A memory seat is essentially an electrically-adjustable car seat which can be moved into pre-set positions at the push of a button. As a result of the removal of the DCC fuse, the ‘driving position memory’ function of the driver and passenger side seat will be inoperative due to the loss of seat position memory stored in the seat ECU. The seat (position control) ECU may need to be initialized if the seat memory settings cannot be recorded.

 

Windows door:

When replacing door glass and after battery replacement on certain year, make, model vehicles special steps need to be taken in order to properly replace and reprogram the vehicle so the electric windows work properly, the door window glass position can be learned by executing this routine, which enables pinch protection and one touch up function.

 

Turbo:

This routine is required if the secondary turbo charger is replaced. This will learn the offset values for the turbine shut-off valve.

 

PFP:

1.The program can detect the Prime Fuel Pump function.
2.Air often gets into the fuel line when a diesel vehicle change fuel or assembly fuel system. This causes a vehicle to have problems starting, forcing you to ‘prime’ the fuel system to remove the air.

How to Solve VXDIAG GM Tech2Win "license has expired"

Question:
I tried to installed the GDS2 and Tech2win software, when i connect vxdiag vcx nano gm with laptop, it failed me and asked for a new software license key.
Software won't identify vcx interface. (Error: E667481: Your license has expired or does not exist. M669298: Perform a Software Download (SWDL) or a security access to reflash your license)
Then i installed the vx manager driver, it gave me another source file corrupted error.
