Beautiful rice field

  It's very hot every day.
We hate this heat, but rice plant need the heat.
So they are growing very well and the green is becoming thicker and thicker . 
 There was a heavy thunderstorm yesterday evening after a long time.
They looked more beautiful than usual  after the rainfall.

Lotus flower

Lotus flower in the small pond began to bloom this year too.
It's very very hot these days.
Seeing them on hot days, I feel cool a little.

Day-lily; 'Yu-u-su-ge' (Hemerocallis citrina var. vespertina)

It was the hottest day called 'Ta-i-sho' which is one of the 24 seasonal divisions on calendar yesterday.
And it's really been very hot and humid.
I heard some had got Heat Disorder and others had been drowned in the river or in the sea.

It'll be very hot till the beginning of August.
Please take care of yourselves !

By the way, Day-Lily was blooming beautifully in the hot weather.
This flower bloom in the evening and wither the next morning.
The color of lemon yellow looks cool !

Repayment

My page

  About two months have passed since I registered in Kiva.
And a month has passed since I lent money to Miss  Grace who is running a grocery store in Ghana.
She is planning to repay all the money she had borrowed in seven month and I got an e-mail from Kiva today that she had repaid  some of the money.
This is my page.

Summer has come !

A kind of Hibiscus
The Meteorological Agency announced that rainy season has finished today in Chu-go-u and Ki-n-ki region.
They say that it finished four days earlier than usual year and seven days earlier than last year in Chu-go-u region.
The amount of the rainfall was one fifth of last year.
Anyway it'll be hot for about two months from now.

The season of sunflower has come.
They bloom strongly under the hot summer sunshine.
It is a symbol of summer and health.
I see some kinds of sunflowers lately.
This one may be one of the new kinds of sunflower.

Hot days

  The rainy season hasn't finished yet, but it was sunny from early in the morning and very hot today .
It's hot like midsummer.
Will this summer be very hot ?

About a month later

About a month has passed since rice planting.
Rice plants in the rice fields around my house are growing well.
They look beautiful to see.
Farmers are taking care of the rice fields every day.
They must fill the fields with water, pull out the weeds, scatter fertilizer and so on.

The pinwheels made of the plastic bottle are set for the moles not to come near.
But it isn't sure they are useful or not.

I saw some worms moving in the water.

Tadpole

Taking a walk as usual, I could see these tadpoles in the pond where lotus flowers bloom beautifully every year.
Though there were many tadpoles in the pond, they went away when I went up to the surface of the water to take pictures.
They are very cute, aren't they ?
Or are they grotesque ?

Ne-ji- ba-na; (Mo-ji-zu-ri)

I saw this pretty flower blooming like spiral among the weeds beside the country lane the other day.
We call this flower Ne-ji-ba-na or Mo-ji-zu-ri in Japanese.
The shape of each flower looks like Orchis.
I wonder if this plant is a weed or a flower.
May be it is a kind of weeds.

Taste of early summer

  I was presented some sweet corns and plums the other day from my neighbor.

Sweet corns were in the vegetable field that I often visit while I am taking a walk.
The acquaintance is very good at growing various kinds of vegetables all year round. 
I boiled them.
It　tasted very juicy and sweet !

These plums are from another neighbor.
They are sweet as well as sour a little.  

By the way, there are plum trees in my yard.
But they are green and haven't ripen yet.
