Memorial Serice

Last weekend, it was cold and we had snow.
We were going to talk about memorial services with a Shinto priest, but we postponed it for a week because we had snow.
The priest will come tomorrow afternoon. We've never seen each other, so I'm a bit nervous.
Tomorrow is also my husband's birthday, so my children and I decided to have his birthday party one day early.

今年の成人式

成人の日は明日ですが、この地域では今日が成人式です。
しかし、今日に限って雨なんです。

我が家の息子は、スーツで出席ですが、振袖の女の子たちは大変でしょう。

The funeral

The funeral is over.
It was held on January 5. January 5 is usually the opening of business for the year, so many people attended the funeral. It was decent, and was held in accordance with Shinto rites. However, most mourners had assumed that the funeral would be a Buddhist one.
Actually, we had been supporters of a Buddhist temple.
