When asked "Why were you smiling when you lost the games?"	「どうして試合に負けた時、微笑んでいるんですか」と尋ねられて
"Actually I hate losing more than you would know. The point is I love this sport and I see it as part of my role to promote the game and show it in a good light whenever I can. And I can't do that with an angry, upset look on my face. Snooker is bigger and more important than I am!"	「実は私は、皆さんが思っている以上に負けることが大嫌いです。重要なのは、私がこのスポーツを愛していて、できる限り、この競技を広め、この競技に良い印象をもってもらうことが私の役割だと思っているということです。ですので、怒ったり悲しんだ表情をしていてはそれはできません。スヌーカーは私よりも大きく重要な存在なのです」
