Ever looking to the future, we are privileged to be working so closely with you on peaceful pursuits. We are so grateful for your decades of dedication to the abolition of all nuclear weapons, and we are heartened by the far-reaching appeal adopted by the Mayors for Peace at the Hiroshima Conference for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons in July.
May all our work always honor our lost loved ones, and all those killed or affected by violence, anywhere in the world.

未来を見据えて、私たちは平和実現のために皆様と一緒になって働く特権を得ました。核廃絶のために何十年も続けてこられた日本の皆さまのご努力に心より感謝しています。7月に広島で開催された核兵器廃絶のための市長会議で採択された遠大な要請文に心打たれています。
私たちの働きが、私たちが失った愛する人たち、また、暴力で殺され傷ついた世界中すべての人たちの償いになりますように。
