サンチャゴ巡礼の巡礼証明書　The text of the Compostela

　　先に、サンチャゴ巡礼を終えた証として、サンチャゴ・デ・コンポステラの巡礼事務所より発行される証明書は、ラテン語で書かれているので理解不能であるとご説明しました。

　　その後、そのラテン語の文章を英訳した文章を見つけました。そこで、拙劣な翻訳ですが、日本語に試訳しましたので、御紹介します。

巡礼証明書の和訳（下記の英訳より）

“聖使徒・聖ヤコブ・メトロポリタン大聖堂代表部は、聖ヤコブ祭壇の礼拝に対する管理者として、世界中の各地から信仰の証としてやって来た全ての信徒及び巡礼者に対して、スペインのパトロンにして守護者たる聖使徒の墳墓への誓いの下に、この文書を読む全ての人に対し、　　　　　　　殿は、この聖なる教会を宗教的な意味で敬虔なる精神を以って西暦　　　　年　　月　　　日に来訪したことを、当代表部は本大聖堂の認印を押印して、同人に本書状を手渡し、聖ヤコブ巡礼証明書を授与したことを証する。

"The Chapter of this Holy Apostolic Metropolitan Cathedral of St. James, custodian of the seal of St. James' Altar, to all faithful and pilgrims who come from everywhere over the world as an act of devotion, under vow or promise to the Apostle's Tomb, our Patron and Protector of Spain,
witnesses in the sight of all who read this document,
that: Mr…………………has visited devoutly this Sacred Church in a religious sense (pietatis causa).
Witness whereof I hand this document over to him, authenticated by the seal of this Sacred Church.
