またまたブログを更新しないまま日が過ぎてしまい、たくさん言いたい事を抱えつつ書いています。
10月26日はBun-Ching Lam さんの作品の演奏がハイデルベルグでありました。リハーサルはマンハイムであり、３日間往復３時間かけての電車通いに文庫本は必須、ポーと筒井康隆の短編集を２冊読み切ってしまいました、たまにひとりの電車もいいものです。
私は初日のオープニングコンサートで一曲、ドイツの詩人、ホルデリンの詩にソプラノ、バスサックス、トロンボーン、マリンバとのアンサンブル曲を演奏したのですが、一つ一つの楽器から出てくる音がそれぞれ必須な音、流れと言う様な、漂いの中に緊張感がある曲でした。他にも中国琵琶のソロ、ハープとテナー、アジアの楽器とヨーロッパの楽器の６重奏など、様々な楽器の音色を楽しむ事が出来たと思います。
Bun-chingさんは上海出身で現在、パリとニューヨークを拠点に置く女流作曲家で、やはり作品には女性らしい柔らかさの一方で強さを感じ、年代によって変わる彼女の作品の趣向なども楽しく聴く事が出来ました。
１１月にはイエメンに飛び、日本大使館主催の文化週間で演奏をしてきました。
今回は私も長袖にしたり、スカーフで顔を出しすぎないようしたりと、“郷に入れば。。”ということで気をつけたのですが、
一度だけ自力で道を歩いたものの、行き交う車が絶え間ない事、やはり体調を考えてイエメン料理の露店は遠慮したりと、結局３０分で断念してホテルでランチを食べると言う、かつてない弱腰でした。
イエメンは生きていく人間そのものの強さを感じる町でした。車のクラクション、日に5回のお祈りの声、聞こえてくる音もやはり興味深かったです。
演奏を聴きにきて下さった方のダイレクトで暖かい声援には本当に有り難く、演奏後に片言の日本語で語りかけて来る学生のような方たちも、男性も女性も本当に透き通った眼をしていました。
今回、私の娘も一緒に二重奏を演奏しました。
私はイエメンでの演奏に、日本の文化のみならず、音楽の表現の豊かさと、女性だからこそ出来る事、そのための教育の必要性などのメッセージを込めて演奏させてもらいました。
小さな子供が、音楽のみならず、学び修練していくことは未来を作っていく大事な事だと思います。
また、大使館はじめ、JOCV(青年海外協力隊）の方たちにも本当にお世話になり、お話を伺う事が出来、日本が長い時間をかけて提供、協力して来た事業の積み重ねを同じ日本人として誇りに思いました。
初めてのアラビア圏、様々な事が新しく、考える事ばかりでした。

In 26th Oct, I played for Bun-Ching Lam`s piece at Heidelberg.
It was a one of concert and lecture series and with books and literature.
I played ensemble piece by Friedrich Hoelderlin who is German poet in 18-19th century.
Ensemble were with soprano, bassaxophone, trombone and Marimba.
The piece was not dramatic, but every instrument has important part and sound for flowing and I felt it was really beautiful.
Bun-ching is woman composer who came from Shanghai and now working at Paris and New York for base.
It was really interested for listining her piece, especially this time with literature, so It was like a picture and visual music.
I hope I have another chance to play her piece again.
Last week I visited Yemen for concert in Japanese cultural week.
It was first time for me to visit this country even in Arabic area.
Atmosphere, sight, weather, sound in city... everything new and it makes me really excited.
I tried onece to walk by myself in the city, but traffic is very chaotic and half hour later I gave up.
At the concert, it made me really happy that audience were very warm and express really direct.
from the first piece they stood up and gave me cheering and clapping.
and after the concert I took pictures with them, their eyes seems beaming.
I played Grolia (tadao Sawai), Kurokami-black hair-(classic), children`s medley with my daughter, and Shirabe sanshou-using Japanese music chord-(Tadao Sawai)
Through this concert I played with my message, those are of-course joyness of Japanese culture and also welthy of music ,how beauty and important women are, and importance of education from childhood.
I really appreciate to Japanese embassy for supporting me. And I had time to talk with them and also with JOCV (Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers) members. I respected their work and activities. also It makes me proud what Japanese support and create in all over the world.
Of-course there are still so many difficulties, but if there are people who want to be work for another, I believe it will be solve someday.
well, this tour was really thoughtful...
