ジョロウグモ１

木の幹にジョロウグモが巣を作っていた。繭の中に卵があるのだろう。金曜の朝、見かけて、カメラを持って同じ場所に戻ったのは昼過ぎ、ずっと守っているつもりだろうか？派手なお母さんがいると却って目立つような気もするがアリはしっかり撃退していた。
もともと卵を包むための繭を作るために糸を作っていたのを、他の虫が引っかかるのに味をしめて木の間に張るように進化したのかなとうっすらと考えていた。図書館で蜘蛛の本を読むと、大体そう考えて間違いないようだ。

A nest of spider, probablly there are eggs inside. Found on friday morning, when I went back with camera around noon, it was still there, like how long is she going to protect it? The mother kind of attract attention with its conspicuous color, but I observed it at least drive away ants.
Probablly they originally produced thread for the protection of eggs, and learned that it can be used as a trap, and they started developping webs.

横からの写真、マユの内部の構造が見える。中身は赤みがかっている。
これだけのものを身体から絞り出したのだからさぞかし疲れ切っているだろう。

The mother should be exhausted after producing such an object out of her body.

ジョロウグモ３

顔のアップ、クモの触覚は歩脚と共通の起源を持つそうだ。

仕事が忙しくて最近明らかにパワーダウン。予算申請書類が一段落したが、後一月程は気を抜けない。なかなか良い写真が撮れなくてストレスが溜まっています。

最小

葉っぱの上、小さな白い虫。肉眼では白い点でしかないが、脚、触覚、目等まで見える。60mmマクロではこれが限界。
