After the tank surfaced, it turned out to be a trophy tank that had been captured by the German army in the course of the battle at Sinimaed (Blue Hills) about six weeks before it was sunk in the lake. Altogether,

　埼玉県鳩ヶ谷市の無職男（２０）が、埼玉県警武南署に未成年者略取容疑などで逮捕されるまで、戸籍がなかったことが３０日わかった。

　両親が「戸籍を取っても、学校に行かせる金がない」などと出生届を出していなかったためといい、男は義務教育を受けずに成長した。男は逮捕後の２００６年１０月、戸籍を取得したが、法務省は「聞いたことがない事案」と話している。

　同署によると、男は０６年６月２５日、鳩ヶ谷市の路上で、女児（当時４歳）に声を掛けて、スーパーのトイレに連れ込み、下着を脱がせて盗んだなどとして、同１０月、未成年者略取と窃盗容疑などで逮捕された。男は現在、公判中。

　男は、同署の取り調べの際、名前や住所、生年月日は答えた。しかし、戸籍の所在地は知らなかったため、同署が母親に確認すると、戸籍がないことが判明した。
