さきほどの「握手を拒否する者は国民たるに値しないー市民権付与拒否事例」の類似事例。
「Muslim students in Switzerland must shake their teacher's hand at the beginning and end of lessons, a regional authority has ruled.」しかし生徒の主張では「The pupils said that shaking hands with a woman who was not related to them would go against their religious beliefs」。イマームの息子さんたちだそうである。
…「合理的配慮」の範囲やいかに、という例。
授業の始まりと終わりに握手する、親愛の情の表明として握手を求めるのは、そりゃまあ人間的な権利だろう。宗教的理由によって一切それを拒否する権利も、まあ、それはそれであろう。その権利行使によってなにが生じるかも含めての自由ではあろう。
「Shaking teachers' hands as a sign of respect is a longstanding tradition in Switzerland.」
…ということで、地元民としては、我々の慣習が根本的に蔑ろにされるべき理由を示せ、とも言いたいだろう。
こういう声に対して、司法機関的な答えとしては
「In future, the parents or guardians of pupils in the northern canton of Basel-Country could face fines of up to 5,000 Swiss francs (£3,400; $5,000; 4,500 euros) if the pupils refuse to shake hands with a teacher.」
言ってみれば、50万円とかで行動の自由を買うことが出来るのであり、うんまあ、魂の救いの代償としてはそこそこ妥当な線ではなかろうか。
「The boys told Swiss media (in German) that "nobody could make them" shake hands with a woman, and that they "could not just delete their culture as if it were a hard drive".」
…そこで『では、君たちが私たちの文化を破壊する権利は、どうやって保障してくれるんだね？』と聞きたいことでもあろう。

こっちにも飛び火しますしね。

何年もスイスに暮らしていてこれかよ、ということで、一般市民的には相互理解の可能性についての絶望がわいても故無しとはいえないだろう。「たかが握手」、されど握手。「並の生活」が拒絶されたのだから、特段右翼的な人でなくとも、そりゃまあ。
反移民政党のひといわく「"Today's it's the handshake and what will it be tomorrow?"」、そりゃあそういいたいだろう。
少数派イスラム団体曰く
「However the smaller Islamic Central Council of Switzerland said that a handshake between men and women was prohibited. "After the sex attacks in Cologne (on New Year's Eve), they asked Muslims to keep their distance from women; now they demand they get closer to them," spokesman Qaasim Illi told Swiss media」
だったらどっか人目につかない辺境に行ってお前らの特殊な性癖に従って生きてろ、という反応も出よう。
「The justice minister said such dispensation for children was not her idea of integration」
特別な事情をもつ子供の教育のために必要な処置なんだ！という意見も、かといって個々に特権付与していくのが大人のスタイルというふうにもいえまい。妥協を教えるのも教育の機能ではあろう。
…中高生の教育で、例えば「選挙ができない（人の王を人が選出するのは神の特権に対する越権行為である）」という思想信条の学生がいた場合、生徒会選挙ではえらい困る。が、多少の配慮でクリアできなくはない。トラぶってる選挙管理委員のところにいって、『先生がうっかり投票用紙を汚してしまった』とかでクリアできなくもない。しかしこうしたクリアをそもそも許さず、組織的・システム的にビルトインしておけ、といわれたら…極めて面倒だしなあ。

相互の認知、相互の敬意の体系からこの二人を除外することにもなり、上手い解決とはいかないのだ。
