天使と悪魔

「ダビンチ・コード」に続いて全世界で大ヒット中の「悪魔と天使」を先週末見に行きました。土曜日の午後にもかかわらず500人収容のシネマには観客が11人だけ。ＯＺは映画があまり好きではない？豪州はＴＶもラグビー中継以外の視聴率はさっぱり。ケアンズには3軒のシネマ・コンプレックスに計20スクリーン。どこもいつもガラガラ。ケアンズの10箇所のビーチには観光客向けの結婚式専用教会以外に教会はありません。ビーチに住む人は日曜日も教会には行かないようです。

Angel and Devil

I went to see “Angel and Devil” that has been a huge hit all over the world after “The Da Vinc Code” last week end. There were only 11 people in the cinema that has 500 of capacity even on Saturday evening. Don’t Ozs like movies? The TV program rating is quite low except the replay of rugby games in Australia. There are 3 cinema complexes and 20 screens in total in Cairns. All of them are empty at any time. There are no churches except those for tourists’ weddings on the 10 beaches in Cairns. Beach residents don’t go to the church even on Sunday.
