ガラパゴスと蔑称される前時代的な日本のダメ携帯が少しだけ進化しそう。電話会社が自社回線しか使えないようにするSIMロック。総務省がSIMカードの差し替えで他社でも利用できる製品の発売を検討中。と言うよりiPadが登場すると否応なしにそうせざるを得ないだけ。ついでにSMSも他社と接続可能にして、ＴＶ局が独占している電波帯をブロードバンドに明け渡さないと国際競争には勝てません。

Out-of date Japanese cell phones that have been despised by calling “Galapagos” may be developing a little bit. Telephone companies set SIM locks that do not allow other companies’ lines to connect them. Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications has put the release of new models that can allow other companies to use them by exchanging their SIM cards on the table. In other words, they have to change their policies, whether they like it or not when iPad is released. Furthermore, they should let SMS to connect each other with different companies and TV companies should hand their exclusive wave bands to broadband as well. Otherwise, Japan would never be able to win in the international competition.

だけど電話各社は自社の利益の思惑もあって、談合の結果、ガラパゴスやピテカントロプス方式の旧時代式の接続方法を作り上げるのでしょう。例えば購入1年後にSIMロック解除とか。利用者無視、国際基準無視の解決方法です。
