福島原発という「地獄」：日給6000円、汚染水の流出は「ずっと前から」／ルモンド紙（2013年10月10日）

私たちはその原発作業員が指定したとおり、人目につかない隠れた場所で会った。彼らにとって、記者に話をすることは危険を伴う。雇用主は神経質になっている。これを口実に首を切られるかもしれない。
30代のその男は、2011年3月の福島原発事故当時、下請け会社の社員として福島第一原発で働いていた。
「あれから安全管理の状況は改善しましたが、給与は下がって、技術力のある作業員もどんどん減っています。」
この作業員の男性はこのように指摘した。
「上から『早くやれ』と言われるので、仕事の質は悪くなるばかりです。道具の名前すら知らない作業員が働いています。」
この人不足は、過去数ヶ月にわたりあちこちで発生した汚染水漏れ事故によるものだ。しかし作業員の男性たちは笑いながらこう言った。
《「汚染水漏れ？ずっと前からありましたよ。誰も話さなかっただけで。7月の参議院選挙の後で初めてメディアがこの話をするようになった、というだけです。」》
技術レベルの低い作業員たちを守る者はいない。彼らは仲介業者による搾取の被害者になっている。危険な作業の末に受け取る給与は、最終的に一日6000円にしかならないのである。
