救急車のＡＥＤ作動せず ３０代男性、２時間後に死亡

秋田県の角館消防署で６月、救急車内の自動体外式除細動器（ＡＥＤ）が作動せず、急性心筋梗塞の疑いがある３０代の男性に処置できなかったことが１２日、分かった。男性は急性心筋梗塞で死亡した。
同署は「男性の死亡とＡＥＤが使えなかったことの因果関係については病院から説明を受けていない」としている。
同署によると、６月８日午前７時１５分ごろ、同県仙北市内の病院から患者の転院搬送の要請を受け、その約１５分後に救急車で秋田市内の病院に向けて出発。途中で男性の症状から除細動が必要となり、救急隊員がＡＥＤを使用。１回目は作動したが２回目以降は正常に作動せず、同９時半ごろ死亡したという。
