"smarty-pants" は賢い人を連想しますが、辞書で確認します。
・Oxford English Dictionary: another term for smarty (sense 1): Try it out on the office know-it-all, or the smarty-pants next door.

・Collins Dictionary: smarty; a would-be clever person: Sooner or later some smarty-pants interviewer is bound to ask about this.

・Cambridge English Dictionary: someone who wants to appear to be clever: Okay, smarty-pants, you tell me how to do it.
