God’s Grand Plan

私たちが救いの賜物を受け入れると、神は私たちの内部の壊れたものすべてを癒すプロセスを開始します。

When we accept the gift of salvation, God begins the process of healing all that is broken within us.

ペテロの手紙一 1:13-16 13 ですから、心を整えて行いなさい。心を慎み、イエス・キリストの現われの時にあなたがたに与えられる恵みに、ひたすら希望を置きなさい。 14 従順な子どもとして、無知なときに抱いていた以前の情欲に流されてはいけません。 15 むしろ、あなたがたを召してくださった聖なる方に倣って、あなたがた自身もすべての行いにおいて聖なる者となりなさい。 16 なぜなら、「わたしは聖なる者であるから、あなたがたも聖なる者となるべきである」と書いてあるからです。

1 Peter 1:13-16 13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, 15 but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; 16 because it is written, ``YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."

コリント人への第二の手紙 3:17-18 17 主は御霊です。主の御霊のあるところには自由があります。 18 しかし、私たちはみな、顔のおおいを取りのけられ、鏡のように主の栄光を映し出し、栄光から栄光へと、主と同じかたちに姿を変えられてゆきます。これは、主である御霊によるのです。

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

ペテロの手紙一1章16節には、「わたしが聖であるように、あなたがたも聖なる者となりなさい」とあります。なんと圧倒的な命令でしょう！しかし、主が私たちの人生においてなさろうとしているのは、まさにこれです。私たちを聖なる者とすることです。主の壮大な計画は、「聖化」という一言に要約できます。これは、主が私たちをご自身の目的のために聖別する三段階の過程です。

First Peter 1:16 says, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” What an overwhelming command! But that is exactly what the Lord is committed to do in our life—make us holy. His grand plan can be summed up in one word: sanctification. This is the three-stage process by which He sets us apart for His purposes.

第一段階は救いの時に起こります。神が私たちを義と宣言してくださる時、私たちは位置的に聖なる者となります。第二段階は、私たちが実践においてますます聖なる者となっていくにつれて、成長していく段階です。この過程は、私たちがこの地上で生きている限り続きます。御父は、私たちが御子の似姿に似た者となることを望み、私たちの性格、行い、そして言葉を形作るために絶えず働いておられます（コリント人への手紙第二 3:17-18）。

Stage one occurs at salvation. When God declares us righteous, we are positionally holy. The second stage is a progression of growth as we become more and more holy in practice. This process will continue as long as we are alive on this earth. Desiring that we be conformed to the image of His Son, the Father is continually working to shape our character, conduct, and conversation (2 Corinthians 3:17-18).

聖化の第三段階は、私たちが絶対的な聖性を獲得する究極の完成です。肉体の死によって私たちは罪から解放され、復活によって私たちの体は完全なものとなります。そして、キリストの前に欠点も汚れもない状態で立つことができるのです。

The third stage of sanctification is our ultimate perfection when we will possess absolute holiness. Upon our physical death, we are freed from sin, and in the resurrection, our bodies will be made perfect. We will stand faultless and spotless before Christ.

もし第三段階がどのようなものかを少しでも知ることができれば、私たちは今経験している困難な聖化の過程について嘆くことは決してないでしょう。私たちの目は目標にしっかりと向けられ、神の変革を受け入れることで神に栄光を捧げることが、私たちの最大の動機となるでしょう。

If we could just get a glimpse of what the third stage will be like, we would never moan and groan about the difficult sanctification process we endure now. Our eyes would be fixed on the goal, and our greatest motivation would be to glorify God by submitting to His transformation.
