(Summary of the Championships) The Championships were composed of European Shogi Championship(ESC), World Open Shogi Championship(WOSC) and Blitz Championship. Among them, ESC and WOSC were single championship in reality with two titles. Those players who finished ESC would soon join WOSC by changing his/or her clothes.
Each player plays 9 games throughout three days. Thinking time was 45 minutes each, and additional 30 second byo-yomi.

(ESC) 32 top players attended the ESC. Final was between Sergej Korchitsky (Belarus, Sente, left) and Victor Zapara(Russia,right). Sergej defeated Victor by no-patterned attack.
The 3rd was Artem Colomietz(Ukraine). The photo shows the discussion game. The hand is by Mr.Takada. (Ozekia 2014-02-14)
