さて、こちらの写真は何か。ローマのコロセウムのようにも見える。そう、野外音楽堂（のようなもの）だ。ところが、できたのは、１９３３年。ナチスが建てたそうだ。そして、お決まりの、ナチスの大集会がここで開かれたそうだ。ざっと見て、5000人は収容できる。
現在は、たまに、ロック・コンサートの会場などに使われているそうだ。でも、水道も多くなさそうだし、トイレもないし、どうするのだろう。

Sightseeing 2
Now, what is it in this photo? It seems like the Colosseum in Rome. Yes, it is an open-air concert hall(or the similar). But, to my astonishment, it was built in 1933 by the Nazis. The common assemblies of the Nazis Party were held here with approximately 5,000 people.

Sometimes in the present, it is used for rock concerts. But, there seems to be no waterworks
available, and no toilets. What do they do, the audiences ? (2014-01-27)

（１）観光

私は以前一度ハイデルベルグを観光で訪れたことがあるので、ハイデルベルグ城などの有名観光スポットを避けて、フランクにネッカー川を挟んで市街の対岸にある小高い丘に案内してもらった。そこには、古ゲルマンの遺跡が残っているという。この街もローマ人に攻められたが、古ゲルマンはそれを撃退して、ローマ人に占領されずに済んだとのこと。古キリスト教会の建物や、１５世紀に掘られた深さ55mの井戸（のようなもの）など、興味深い遺跡が残っている。
この写真は靄に霞んでしまっているが、丘の上から、対岸を一望したもの。左中央の茶色っぽい集まりがハイデルベルグ城、手前がハイデルベルグ市街、さらに手前にネッカー川が望める。この丘は市民の散策のコースになっているそうだ。

Sightseeing 1
I have visited Heidelberg once. I asked Frank to avoid the sightseeing spots like Heidelberg Castle. So, Frank guided me to a small hill across the Necker River. There remained ruins of ancient German. The city was attacked by Roman troops, but ancient German drove away Roman and the city remained unconquered. The building of ancient Christian church and 55m deep well (probably) which was built in 15th century. All of them were interesting.

This photo glances the city of Heidelberg from the top of the hill. Though the photo is prevailed by mist, we can see the brown Heidelberg Castle on the left back, the city of Heidelberg in the middle and the Necker River on the front. The hill is loved by the citizen of Heidelberg, Frank said. (2014-01-25)

ハイデルベルグはドイツ西南部の由緒ある歴史都市で、観光客にも人気だ。ここに、ヨーロッパ将棋連盟（FESA）会長のフランク・レーヴェカンプさんと奥様の飯島美佐子さんが住んでおられる。そのご自宅を訪ねた。フランクは普段ここからルートヴィッヒスハーフェン（長い！）の大学に通勤しているのだという。

１２時にフランクにハイデルベルグ中央駅に出迎えてもらい、ご自宅に向かった。
