(b) Kifu Viewing Project

Kifu Viewing Project means (1) noting the Kifu of the amateur players in such as domestic championship and (2) posing it onto a web-site with commentaries by professional players and amateur experts for viewing by the other Shogi fans around the world.
I asked Frank’s response and he said that the project would be useful trial.

We agreed that those issues are to be resolved as follows;
(1) Interface with professional players;
(2) Gathering of Kifu periodically;
(3) Rules of Representation of Kifu.

（３）歓談と打ち合わせ

歓談と打ち合わせで４時間消費した。まるで、現役時代の「ビジネス・ミーティング」のようだった。

（ア）EU/Japan FESTについて

EU各国と日本の文化交流を促進する目的で、毎年、２ヶ所ほどの都市が文化都市に指定され、そこで様々な日本文化を紹介するイベントなどが実施され、そのイベントに日本の多くの大企業が協賛していることをフランクに説明した。

また、今年、文化都市に指定されたコシツェ（スロヴァキア）で将棋のイベントができないかを探るため、アダム・スカルニーさんが４月に来日することも説明した。

このEU/Japan FESTとの連携、とくに、財政面での協賛を受けるメリットについて説明すると、フランクから、来年（２０１４年）のヨーロッパ将棋選手権（ESC２０１４）をスウェーデンで開催する手があるかもしれない、という提案があった。その可能性を、スウェーデン将棋連盟と協議する、とのこと。

財政面で協賛を受けることができれば、大きなメリットになると思ったようだ。
今後、新しい情報をインプットすることを約束した。

Chattering and Meeting 1
I consumed four hours for chattering and meeting with Frank as if in business meeting before retirement.

(a) EU/Japan FEST
I explained to Frank that two cities in EU countries are nominated every year as ‘European Culture City’ by EU, various cultural performances are held in the ‘European Culture City’ to introduce and promote Japanese culture and those performances are supported by many Japanese big firms.

Also, Adam Scalny of Slovakia would visit Japan to learn the possibilities of presenting an introductory workshop of Shogi in Kosice, the eastern old city of Slovakia, which was assigned as ‘European Culture City’ of 2013.

When I explaied to Frank that the merits of collaboration with EU/Japan FEST, especially the merit of receiving financial support, Frank proposed that European Shogi Championship 2014 would be probable and he would consult with Sweden Shogi Association.

He thought that financial support would be a favor.
I promised to keep him informed of the updating of the related information. (2014-01-31)

（２）対局

観光から戻って、フランクと一局対局した。フランクはこの対局を楽しみにしていたそうで、前の晩から、将棋盤と駒を取り出して、さすっていた、と美佐子さんが教えてくれた。

私の先手で、相掛かりの中盤で手の作りにくい情勢が続いた。この写真はその時点でのもの。（撮影：飯島美佐子）

少し無理ぎみに攻めて、うまくいったかと思ったところで、寄せの緩手が出て、切れ模様になり、そのまま寄せられた。
悔しかったが、フランクのうれしそうな顔を見て、悔しさは吹き飛んだ。

Playing Shogi
Bach to his home, I played a game with Frank. He had been longing for the play and he had drawn the board and the pieces and stroked them since previous night, Misako testified.
I was Sente and in the middle stage we entered into the maze with doubtful questions—Which move is best? This photo shows the situation. (Photo : Misako Iijima)
I dared to begin attacking and once I felt to lead the game a little, but soon after I moved a loose move and I fell into the difficult situation and lost the game.
It was regrettable for me. Bu, when I saw Frank satisfied with the result, I was relieved from regret. (2014-01-29)
