8:00 in the morning, I went out of my house and totally at a loss by the car. 'Ohmigosh, I can't open the car door!'
It was raining yesterday. It must have got freezing cold during the last night. Everything wet was now coated with thin ice. I could even hear the subtle sound that the ice coating the branches of the trees broke every time they wave in the wind.
Yoshi and I melted the car door and hopped in. We were in a hurry to get on a highway until 9:00 ---otherwise we couldn't get discounted. It was not a long time drive until our car slipped on the steep slope right before we got to the main street. We didn't have it fall in the ditch but it was so close. One more step on the accelerator would give us total bad luck so we were just there not knowing what to do..
I, sitting in the passenger seat, got out of the car to lead Yoshi drive. Whoa, it was slippery on the slope!! I could barely step forward... Embarrassingly I moved on my all four and crawled out of the main road...
Good heavens, I saw some kind of service vehicle coming along! I waved at the track hoping they could pull our car. As it approached I found it is a track with calcium chloride sprinkler. You may know the chemical is for melting icy roads.
The two guys jumped out of the car ( and one of them wiped out on the first step on the ground!) then started to help us. They took their spade and sprinkle the salty stuff around our car. They made us wait until the road was melted. They pushed our car and finally we came out to the main road!!!
I was so thankful and appreciated. I asked them for their contact number and address because I wanted to send a gift or something. .... Can you tell what they said? ' No problem! It is not a big deal. We just have our job done. Take good care. Good bye!!' ... Coooooooooooooooool!!! They are such super heros!!!
