我が家のCocoさん。Guamで気に入って手荷物として抱えて出国検査を受けて現在日本の生活を満喫している。しかし、彼は一度も鳴かず彼の仕事を放棄している
彼の代わりにたまにRobertさんが鳴いている…

Many of you may know this, but I am a huge basketball fan. 
I love watching basketball, either in person or on television. In fact, I used to play basketball regularly until just a few years ago. My son, Kenji (比留木謙司), is a professional basketball player in Japan, having played for years in both the JBL (Hokkaido Levanga) and in the BJ League (Rising Fukuoka and Toyoma Grouses).
This year's NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs is one of the most interesting series in recent memory.
San Antonio won the first game on Miami's home court about ten days ago. Since then, the teams have traded victories, with the Spurs leading the series now 3 games to 2. The series heads back to Miami now for Game 6 tomorrow, with a possible Game 7, also in Miami on Thursday. 
I can't decide which team to root for.
At home, we call the Spurs おじさんチーム, because their Big Three players (Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili) are all close to 40 years old. So, as an "old guy," I want the other "old guys" to be successful. But, at the same time, I really love the excellent defense played by the Heat and the teamwork between LeBron James, DeWayne Wade, and the other Heat members is very satisfying to a basketball "purist" like me. 
Being from Southern California, my favorite team since I was a young boy has always been the Los Angeles Lakers.
And this season was very excitingbecause the Lakers had to win almost every game over the last part of the season to even make the playoffs. But in the first round of the playoffs, the were swept in 4 games by おじさんチーム. So, that fact also makes my feeling more complicated. 
Anyway, if you like basketball, I encourage you to watch the remainder of this year's NBA Finals. It should be very interesting!

Today I had a chance to work with students at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies. We did a compact, four-hour TOEIC seminar. The students were very positive. I enjoyed working with them very much! 
One of the students who took my seminar last year also attended. He learned the strategies we presented and practiced very hard. As a result, he was able to raise his TOEIC score well over 700, which enabled him to qualify for study abroad. In September, he will attend the University of California, Riverside for one year. I am very proud of his achievement.
I am sure that this year's participants can also meet their targets, if they apply the strategies they learned by practicing, practicing, practicing. That's really the key. I have confidence that next year I can get some other similar positive reports from this year's participants.

結果、大漁！大量！耐量！
めちゃくちゃいい買い物が出来ました
Robertさんなんてジャスミン米まで買ってしまう始末…私は、もちろん1年間分のタイ料理に必要な品を全て買い足して、そしてRobertさんにはタイシルクのゾウさんネクタイをプレゼント
このこ達、ボルゾイという犬種で走るのがめっちゃ速い猟犬です！こやつら、昔から何か違うと思ってはいたが走行速度50km/hで走るわんちゃんであった
もう～わんちゃん、ちゃうやん！買い物も済んで落ち着いたところで、美味しいタイ料理を楽しんだ
友達とも会場で待ち合わせをしていたので皆で楽しく辛～い！辛～い！と言いながら楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。
そしてこのラーメン今まで食べたタイラーメンのなかで一番ヒット＆HOT
バナナの天ぷら！これは美味しかったよ～ そしてちょ～まったりからみつくマンゴのかき氷
これを買うのにRobertさんがんばって並んでくれました。
お口直しにさらにアイス！！ジャックフルーツのアイス
口の中を冷やすにはいいね～また来年も行くよ～～

Today I went to a clinic near our house. The sensei in charge is a specialist in massage for helping blood circulation in his patient's legs. 
I endured the most painful one hour I think I have ever experienced!! 
During the treatment I was imagining if I had been captured by Al Qaida and they were torturing me. I did my best not to give up any secrets. But it was seriously tough. 
However, after finishing the treatment, my legs felt light and very comfortable. I guess it was worth the "torture."
