☆パリ散歩 （グランパレ界隈） Stroll in Paris (The Grand Palais)

2009年6月3日の午後、モンパルナスタワーに登った後、シャンゼリゼの一角を占めるグランパレの界隈を散策しました。

After the visit to the Monparnasse Tower on the afternoon of June 3rd,1009, I strolled in the area around the Grand Palais located at the corner of the Avenues des Champs Elysees.

アンバリッド広場からセーヌ川方面を望むと、華麗なアレクサンドル3世橋が目に入ります。そのすぐ向こうに見えるのがグランパレとプチパレですが、何れも1900年のパリ万博会場として建設されました。この建物は、何れもセーヌ右岸の歴史的建造物として、世界遺産に指定されています。

グランパレには、国立グランパレ美術館と、発見の殿堂と名づけられた科学技術博物館が常設さています。

When viewed from the Esplanade des Invalides, a magnificent view of the Alexandre III Bridge comes in sight. The Grand Palais and the Petit Palais can be viewed just beyond this bridge. These buildings were constructed as the sites of the Paris Universal Exposition of 1900 and they are included in the historical architectures at the right bank of the Seine registered as the world heritage site.
At the Grand Palais, Grand Palais National Galery and the Sience & Technology Museum named the Palais de la Decouverte are housed.

尚、この近くを散策していると、アルメニアン教会と言う風変わりな建物を見かけました。

Upon walking around this area, I found by chance a bizarre building indicated as an Armenian Church.
