これについて、７日開かれた参議院の文教科学委員会と内閣委員会の連合審査会で、自由党の森ゆうこ幹事長代理は「会計検査院の報告書には、『森友学園』が買う４年前に、別の学校法人が買い受けを要望し、その時には『評価調書』を作っていたという報告があるが、いくらと評価しているのか」と質しました。
これに対し、財務省理財局の担当者は、別の学校法人から土地を買い受けたいという意向が示されたことを受けて、外部の業者に委託し「評価調書」を作成したことを認めたうえで、その際には、ごみの撤去費用を８４３７万２６４３円と算定し、これを差し引いた土地の評定価格を９億３００万円としていたことを明らかにしました。
これについて財務省は「地中深くにある埋設物が見つかる前のものであり、また鑑定した人や鑑定の方法が『森友学園』の時と異なるため、ごみの撤去費用などの価格が違うことは十分ありうる」としています。
