【POP】The Calling

お友達に教えてもらった素敵なグループ、『the calling』。
現在までに、『camino palmero』と『two』の２枚のアルバムを出しています。
Waking Ashlandだとか、Something Corporateが好きな方にはおすすめ。
メンバーは、
　アレックス・バンド（vo）
　アーロン・カミン（g）
　ショーン・ウールステンフルム（g）
　ビリー・モーラー（b）
　ネイト・ウッド（dr）
の５人組です。
いい曲は沢山あるのですが、Wherever You Will Goが一番素敵かな？

時計の針を、止めたいと思った

数年前からずーっと探していたバンドを、終に再発見！
「時計の針を止めたいと思った」というキャッチコピーのついたＣＤでデビューした彼らは「サムシング・コーポレイト」でした。
うわー・・・感慨深ーい。
なにせ、３年越しに思い続けていましたものね。

（多分）あんまりメジャーじゃないので、ざっとご紹介。
メンバーは、１０年に１人の逸材（結構微妙な褒め言葉やわ）と評される、
①メロディメーカ兼ボーカル兼ピアノのアンドリュー・マクマホン
②③ギターのジョシュ・パーティントンとウィリアム・テル
④ベースのクラッチ
⑤ドラムのブラアン・アイルランド
以上、５名からなる、バンドでございます。
ジャンルはポップよりのロックだと思っていましたが、実はパンクだそうです。
アンドリューのメロディ（ポップでキャッチー）と声（甘め）が売りなのに、パンク・・・解せない。

ラインナップとしては、
何と言ってもデビューアルバム、２００２年の「Leaving through The Window」、そして
２００３年の「North」、同じく２００３年の「Songs for Silent Movies」（ミニ・アルバム）
あとは、２００４年に「Live At The Ventura Theater」が発表されました。

ちなみに、現在は活動停止中。
何故なら、アンドリューが急性リンパ性白血病で入院しているから。
一日も早い回復を祈ります。

歌ってみました、Holding Out For A Hero by Bonnie Tyler。
元歌は、確かStreet Of FireとFootlooseの挿入歌として使われています。
とってもノリがいいので、カラオケでは重宝します。だって、歌い手がド下手であろうとも、とりあえず皆楽しく聴いてくれますもの。
キーを弄らずに高音部まで出るので、その意味でも貴重な歌でございました。
ストレスがたまっている方におすすめ！思い切りシャウトすると、すっきりしますよ～。

バックストリートボーイズの新譜をようやく手に入れました。

貴方たち、素敵すぎ！！！
やっぱり好きだなあ、バックストリートボーイズ。もうボーイズではなくなってましたけれども（笑）

【洋楽】アルマゲドン・サウンドトラック

お友達に、『アルマゲドン』のサントラを借りました。
これがまた、ゴージャスなメンバーで、思わず「映画はあんなんなのになぁ・・・」と呟き、貸してくれた子が大爆笑してました。
なんといってもエアロは素晴らしかったのですが、なぜか私がはまったのはジャーニー。
何故いまさら、ジャーニー・・・。
どんどん趣味が時代から逆行していく今日この頃。
