Museum Meiji-Mura in inuyama City,Aichi Pref,Japan./Summering House of Lafcadio Hearn:Lafcadio Hearn ( 1850-1904) was born in Greece,educated in Ireland,and went to United States where he sthdies literature.He came to Japan in 1890 and immediated resolved to settle down in this country for life.He taught English in Matsue and Kumamoto,and then moved to Kobe where he was naturalized in Japan in 1896.He moved to Tokyo in same year to given lecture at the Imperial University of Tokyo.From the following year year onward,he summered every year at sea coast of Yaizu,Shizuoka Pref,on the second floor of a fish shop owened by Otokichi Yamaguchi,whom Hearn thought the most amiable Japanese he had ever known./Visit Date:2016.4.29./

Museum Meiji-Mura in Inuyama City,Aichi Pref,Japan./Barber Shop" Kinotoko" Hongo:This is a barber shop once situated in Hongo,Bunkyouku,Tokyo and one of the typical shop-and-house town buildings of the late Meiji and early Taisho period.It is a simple two-storied wooden building,mostly traditional,but glazing of the shop front was a new feature in those days.On the second floor of this shop stayed the poet Takuboku Ishikawa and his family from 1909,when he published his first an thology " Ichikaku no Suna ",which immediately made him famous./Visit Date:2016.4.29./

Museum Meiji-Mura in Inuyama City,Aichi,Japan./Kureha-za Theater:Kureha-za,a local popular theater,was built in the 1870's in present Ikeda City,Osaka Prefecture.It is a two-storied wooden building.The facade is characteristic of the traditional Kabuki theater,with its broad eaves and the drummer's balcony on the gabled wall.Inside is the turning stage,which was revolved by men in the stonewalled basement.Hanamichi,another traditional feature of the Kabuki stage,runs through the parquet.In addition to kabuki plays,modern dramas,political plays and movies were performed here.It was also used frequently as a meeting hall./visit Date:2016.4.29./

Museum Meiji-Mura in Inuyama City,Aich Pref,Japan./Bathhouse" Azuma-yu":Public bathhouse,along with the barber's shop,was an essential part of the town life in Japan of the Meiji period.The bathhouse "azuma-yu"probably built in 1900's though smaller in size,is one of the typical.It is a plain two-storied wooden building and the wall is of Japanese battened siding.The building is separated into the men's and women's bathhouses,each consisting of a dressing room and a bathroom./Visit Date:2016.4.29./

Museum Meiji-Mura in Inuyama City,Japan./Place :This place is located to the north of Nagoya City./Date:2016.4.29./St.Francis Xavire'c Cathedral:The Cathedral consecrated to St.Francis Xavier( 1506.5),built in 1890,was situated at Kawaramachi-Sanjo in the city of Kyoto.It had stuccoed brick wall,but when it was rebuilt in the Meiji-Mura in 1973,the wall was changed into that of reinforced concreat faced with briks.Inside are columns and vaults,all of zelkova wood,and beautiful stained glass windows are impressive.Francis Xavier Landed at kagoshima in 1549 and came up to kyoto,where he wanted to build a church dedicated to the Lady.The construction of the Cathdral was to carry out the intention of the saint./

Museum Meiji-Mura in Inuyama City,Aichi Pref,Japan./ Place:This Place is located to the north of Nagoya City./Date:2016.4.29./" kikunoya" Sake Brewery:This storehouse is said to have originally been built during the early years of the Meiji period as a granary in Shikawamachi,Hekinan City,Aichi prefecture,but was moved to and rebuilt in Kariya in 1895 and had since been used as a brewery of " Kikunoya "Hirose &Co,a local" sake " brewer,until 1689,when it was dismantled on account of a new town planning,It was rebuilt here in the Meiji-Mura in 1983./

Museum Meiji-Mura in Inuyama City,Aichi Pref,Japan./Place:This place is located to the north of Nagoya City./Date:2016.4.29./The Kanazawa Prison: The Kanazawa Prison was built 1n 1907.The octagon was called the Central Guard Station,from which five long wards stretched outward in a star-shaped plan.Only a part of one ward and the octagon were rebuit here in the Meiji-mura in 1972./

Museum Meiji-Mura in Inuyama City,Aich Pref,Japan./Place:This Place is located to the north of the Nagoya City./Date and Time:2016.4.29.Pm:13:00~pm:17.00./Kawasaki Bank:This Bank founded in 1880,was one of the leading banks in Japan in the middle of the Meiji Perod.This Neo-Barque head office was designed in 1919 by Matakichi Yabe,who had studied architecture at the Berliner Techinische Hochschule.The construction,however,took six years,took six years from 1921 to 1927.The three-storied,stone-faced reinforced concret structure stood for years in the busiet throughfare at Nihonbashi as one of the most typical bank building of the day./

Museum Meiji-Mura in Inuyama City,Aichi Pref,Japan./Place:This Place is located to the north of Nagoya City./Cobinet Library:This was the main building of the Cabinet Library( Naikaku Bunk ),founded in 1911 in the Third Ward of the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.It contained an importaant collection of books and documents formerly belonging to the Shogunnate Government , as well as those which were intensively  collected by the Meiji Government./
