「情熱」？

僕が情熱を燃やす事。

それは大切なもの（ひと、こと、気持ち、など全て）を大切にする事。

性格的にどちらかというと自分勝手な方なので、邪険な態度を取ってしまったり、粗末に扱ったりしがちでした。でもある時、それではいけないと気づきました。気づかせてくれた出来事がありました。改めようと努力しましたが、並大抵なことではありませんでした。これを実行するには、その対象、目的に惜しみ無い情熱を燃やすことが必要だと学びました。

以来、この気持ち、情熱を持って何事にも臨むような生き方を心がけています。

Yoyogi  Gymnasium, Tokyo

Tonight’s show was the second to last show of the tour.  It was a great one too!  The fans were alive with good energy and seeing everyone come together for this concert is a cool thing to experience.  Before the show I was outside of the gymnasium watching everyone enter into Yoyogi.  It was cool to see smiles on everyone’s faces as they were about to experience one of the last shows of Utada United 2006. 

The band sounded awsome tonight!  The energy on stage was great and I could tell Hikaru and the band felt good about being in front of Tokyo’s fans.  I am sure tomorrow’s show will be just as great since it is the last one of the tour. 

It is hard to believe that there is only one more show left.  It has been an incredible time being a part of Utada United 2006.  Seeing all of you come to each show in support of Utada United was awsome!

今日はセミ・ファイナル

広島から空路、東京へ戻りました。納豆汁がヒカル宛に大量に届いていました。９日、１０日の代々木公演で「UTADA UNITED 2006」は幕を下ろします。

全体的な感想は、この二日間が終わってからにします。

夏休みが終わった東京は、休み中に比べると交通量が増えて、どこへ行くにも渋滞です。時々吹いてくる風には”秋”を感じます。

広島二日目の様子です。

【2006.9.9】

　8月29日、愛媛武道館1日目。私はこの日、宇多田ヒカルが見せた笑顔を一生忘れないと思う。これまで彼女の笑顔はたくさん見ているはずなのに、この日の彼女の笑顔は特別だった。アンコールを終え、ステージ前に出てメンバーと手をつなぎ、みんなにあいさつを済ませた時の笑顔。「ありがとう」と何度も言ったあとにこぼれる笑顔。みんなに手を振って、会場を見渡した時の笑顔。そして、ステージから姿を消す直前に、もう一度客席を振り返った時に見せてくれたとびきりの笑顔。
　ツアーが後半戦に突入してから一時喉の調子を心配する声がファンからあがり、きっとそのくやしさがずっと彼女の心を支配していたであろう日々・・・。けれど、この日の彼女は笑顔を見せてくれた。約6年ぶりの全国ツアーはライブ経験が少ない宇多田ヒカルにとって、様々な経験（それは嬉しい出来事も辛い出来事も）が彼女の気持ちを日々遥らしていたはず。だからこそ、彼女が見せてくれたこの日の笑顔は、宇多田ヒカルの素直な気持ちが真っすぐに伝わってくる笑顔だった。自分の出し切れる力、持っている力を全部出し切った時の笑顔はとても清々しい。長かったツアーも、もうすぐファイナルを迎える。そのファイナル公演でも宇多田ヒカルの清々しい笑顔がたくさん見られますように。そして、みんなの笑顔がいっぱい見られますように・・・。

うただてるざねの旅日記〜広島編（誰かのマネ）

ボートで松山から到着した広島です。ホテルの窓からは原爆ドームが見えます。隣は広島球場です。ちょうど、ピッチャーズ・マウンドとホーム・ベースが見えます。近代的な美術館は真下です。レオナルド藤田(“つぐじ”と変換できなかったから彼のミドル・ネームで)の絵画展が９月３日から始まるそうですが、今回は時間がなくて行けそうにありません。残念。平たく広がる市内は広く、その先には瀬戸内海とそこに浮かぶ島々が見えます。

平和そうに見えるこの街は、戦争の悲惨さと無駄な破壊を繰り返す人類の愚かさを教えてくれています。そして、そこから見事に力強く復興した市民の覇気を感じます。

今回、いろいろな街で宿泊したホテルのまくらカバーは全部白でした。

広島初日の様子です。この日は７回目の誕生日会がありました。マニピュレーター・アシスタント(コンピューターから出す音を制御する人の助手)の永田女史、清水オクト(道具係)の小林さん、PA(音響)の福本さんです。

Green Arena Day 2

The performance at Green Arena was great tonight.  The fans were just as good tonight as they were last night.  There are so many genuinely passionate fans here in Hiroshima.  You really help make the show a memorable experience!  It has been fun this week spending time in Matsuyama and Hiroshima.  I hope you all enjoyed seeing Utada United this week.

Tomorrow we're going back to Tokyo for the final two shows of the tour.  I'm sure the shows next weekend at Yoyogi are going to be awsome!

Hiroshima Green Arena

After our shows in Matsuyama we came directly to Hiroshima. We’ve had a few days to explore and experience what Hiroshima has to offer. Some of us went to Miyajima for the day. What a view! At the top of Miyajima you can see the surrounding mountains, islands and oyster beds. So cool.

The show at Green Arena tonight was really nice. Hikaru looked like she was feeling great and the audience connected with that. Some of the members of the band commented after the show that they felt the same way. What did you think of tonight’s show?

After the show, Utada United had a team dinner at a great restaurant in town. We have had a few dinners where the entire staff comes together to eat. They are a lot of fun and tonight’s was the best one yet. The dinners really build a good feeling between all the staff on tour. When we all get together to eat it makes everyone feel like part of the Utada United team. It was cool to see the Utada United team enjoying the evening.

ゴールは目前！

６年ぶりの広島グリーンアリーナです。本番前の会場では、照明の直し、音響の直しが始まっています。ガランとした会場に光が飛び交い、音が溢れている、なんとも不思議な光景です。楽屋からはチェロの音色が聞こえて来ます。今泉さんは、もう練習をしています。

広島を終えて東京へ移動すると、いよいよ代々木での最終公演が待っています。５月から始めたリハーサル。日本中を大家族で移動した「UTADA UNITED 2006」もゴールは目前です。最後まで無事に走り抜ける事が出来るよう、身を引き締めて、でもちょっとセンチな気分になり始めています。

【2006.8.31】

一時間の船旅

松山での公演を無事に終え、今朝は広島への移動です。乗り物の手配を担当する部署が選んだのは、「スーパージェット」と言う名の小型船。小型とは言え、１５０人乗りだし名前も魅力的です、改め、でした。どんなに早くて刺激的な乗り物なのかと、期待は大きく乗船しました。乗船前の待合ロビーを見回すと、みんな売店で買い物をしたり、すっかり観光気分です。突然、声を掛けられて、群馬県から「UTADA UNITED 2006」を追いかけてくれている親子に会いました。群馬県からって、凄いですね。有り難いですね。その中に浮かない顔が二つ。マットとフォレストです。マットは船酔いが怖く、フォレストは泳げない。

いよいよ出航。ワクワクしながら沖に浮かぶ沢山の小島を見ているのですが、スピードが一向に上がりません。「なーんだ、全然スーパーでもジェットでもないじゃん。」誰かがぽそりと言いました。ここから同感の叫びが四方八方から飛び交って、「でも揺れないし、景色はいいし、良かったね。マット。」とマットを探すと、前から２列目の通路側の席に根っこが生えたかのごとく身動きもせず、俯いて無言で座っていました。そのすぐ後ろに、まるで双子のような姿のフォレストが発見されました。

時速６０キロの航海で一時間、無事に広島港に到着。航海中から降り始めていた雨が広島の街を心地よく湿らせてくれています。

Second Night in Matsuyama

The show tonight was one of the best shows of the tour.  Hikaru connected with the crowd in a nice way and it filled the room with good energy. I talked with the band after the show and they too felt that the show was awsome.  The band sounded good in the Ehime Budokan.  It’s such a nice sounding hall.

The fans tonight were amazing!  Everyone was on their feet and clapping from the first note of the show!  It is good to see the positive affect the show has on the fans.

Tomorrow we are off to Hiroshima with shows on Saturday and Sunday.  It will be good to see the fans in Hiroshima.
