「僕達で旅にでないか・・・？」
登校時のある朝、いつものように息子を誘いに家へ来た
クラスメイトのS君が、なにやら真剣な面持ちで
息子にこう耳打ちした。
「真夜中に・・・寝袋持って・・・町を探検・・・・」
ひそひそ話しの中に聞こえた
この壮大で突拍子もない企みは、
大人の介入により、大幅に縮小・変更されたものの、
小学２年生男児二人にS君の妹も加わって、
隣町までバスに乗り、スポーツ施設で遊んで帰るという形で
ささやかに実現した。
成長と共に芽生える子供の独立心と
未知なる体験への好奇心、冒険心。
でも・・・
私はというと、心配が高じて三人を追跡し、
あろう事か息子にばれて、
慌ててすぐに退散したけれど、
深く傷つけてしまった
男のプライド・・・。
冒険と安全。
対極にあるこの二つの
共存はとても
・・・難しい。
"Do you wanna come with me on a journey?"
My son's class mate S-kun whispered to him with a serious face
one morning when he stopped by our house as usual
to go to school together.
"In the midnight...bring the shraffs...adventure in town..."
Their crazy but magnificient project hearing from the whisper...
Although it was widely changed and limited by their parents,
it came true as they rode the bus by themselves to the next town
and spent some time doing what they wanted to and came back home.
Children's growing will for independence,
Curiosity and adventurous spirits.
But as for me...
I chased after them secretly because of my worriness.
and what's worse, my son found it out.
I vanished quickly but still ...
I hurt his pride.
Adventure and safety.
The opposit each other...
That's why...
it is so hard to have them both together.
