無視して行政権を急速に肥大させ、市民の権利を奪い続ける。しかし、史上初の
女性下院議長となった民主党幹部ぺローシは、議長就任直後に「大統領弾劾は考
えない」と表明し、憲法遵守の要を司る立法権執行責任を放棄した。
共和党・民主党という２大政党が政治的攻防に明け暮れ、議会による民主主義の
仕組みが麻痺している。そのようなワシントンの政治腐敗の真っ只中で、議員就
任の時に宣誓した憲法への忠誠を実践しているのがデニス・クシニッチ議員であ
る。クシニッチは、35項目からなる「ジョージ・Ｗ・ブッシュ大統領弾劾告発書
