自其國越科野國、乃言向科野之坂神而、還來尾張國、入坐先日所期美夜受比賣之許。於是、獻大御食之時、其美夜受比賣、捧大御酒盞以獻。爾美夜受比賣、其於意須比之襴意須比三字以音著月經。故見其月經、御歌曰、
比佐迦多能 阿米能迦具夜麻 斗迦麻邇 佐和多流久毘 比波煩曾 多和夜賀比那袁 麻迦牟登波 阿禮波須禮杼 佐泥牟登波 阿禮波意母閇杼 那賀祁勢流 意須比能須蘇爾 都紀多知邇祁理
爾美夜受比賣、答御歌曰、
多迦比迦流 比能美古 夜須美斯志 和賀意富岐美 阿良多麻能 登斯賀岐布禮婆 阿良多麻能 都紀波岐閇由久 宇倍那宇倍那宇倍那 岐美麻知賀多爾 和賀祁勢流 意須比能須蘇爾 都紀多多那牟余
故爾御合而、以其御刀之草那藝劒、置其美夜受比賣之許而、取伊服岐能山之神幸行。
≪英訳≫
After crossing over from that country to Shinano, he subdued the gods of the slopes in Shinano with his words and then returned to Owari. There, he visited Princess Miyazu, with whom he had made a promise before. When she offered her a grand feast, Princess Miyazu presented a large sake cup as an offering. At that time, Princess Miyazu had the moon’s blood (menstrual blood) on the hem of her clothes overgarment.
Observing the moon (menstrual blood), he composed a poem:
Gazing up, Amenokaguyama(the heavenly fragrant Mount),
Like a sharp sickle crossing, a graceful swan,
I want to embrace those delicate and tender arms,
I intend to sleep together,
But on the hem of your clothes overgarment,
The moon appears.
(Although I came here with the intention to sleep together, your moon’s blood has come.)
In response, Princess Miyazu sang a poem:
Resplendent like the shining sun, a noble prince,
My great lord with distinguished authority.
When the new year comes and passes,
The new moon also comes and passes.
Truly, unable to wait for you any longer,
It seems the moon appears on the hem of my clothes overgarment.
As a result, they slept together here, and he left Kusanagi no Tsurugi (the Grasscutter Sword) in her care and went to attack the deity of Mount Ibuki.
≪この英文の和訳≫
その国から信濃国に越えて、信濃の坂の神を言葉でもって服従させ、尾張国に戻りました。そこで、以前約束を交わした美夜津(ミヤズ)姫のもとを訪れました。ミヤズ姫は贅沢な宴を開き大きな御酒盃を捧げました。その時、ミヤズ姫の衣の裾には月のもの（月経の血）がついていました。
月のものを見て、彼は歌を詠みました
天の香具山（あめのかぐやま）を仰ぎ見ると、
鋭い鎌のように横切る白鳥（のような）
優雅で優しい腕を抱こうとしますが、
一緒に寝ようと思っていたのに、あなたの衣の裾には月が出ています。
（一緒に寝るつもりで来たのに、あなたの月のもの（月経）が来てしまったよ）
それに対して、ミヤズ姫も歌を詠みました
輝く太陽のような尊い皇子さま
威厳のある私の大君さま
新しい年が過ぎ去れば、
新しい月も過ぎ去ります。
本当にもうあなたを待てなくて
私の衣の裾にも月が出るでしょう。
（あなたを待ちきれず、月日が経って、私も月のもの(月経)が来てしまったのでしょう）
そして、ここで共に寝、彼は草薙(くさなぎ)の剣を彼女の許(もと)に置いて、伊吹の山の神を撃ちにおいでになりました。
