We really hope you, your family, friends and students are all safe and ok, and all this nightmare stops very soon, and no more people hurt, ever again.
My heart really hearts when I see what's going on there. I remember how you were with your students in New York after 9/11/01, I am sure your Tokyo students feel better having you by their side now.

I wanted to write to all the people I know in Japan, but you are the first ones who came to my mind.
I waited a few days to write, but I wanted to say that I am really sad with the news about the quake, and that my thoughts are with all of you. I just wanted you to know that I am sending you continued thoughts of hope to you and your loved ones so that things get sorted out soon.
I spoke to Mary and she told me that you were safe. Also, all your Argentine friends are hoping that you guys are doing ok and send you their love and support. Our hearts are with you J
