ベトナムか韓国か どちら?

What actions will we take when the neighboring country
on land is a great power?
If the big country is kind and powerful and can help in the event
of a disaster, everyone will love it. However, the country is always
proud of its own civilization, and it seems that the people around it
are called “東夷Dongguan, 西戎Xinjiang, 南蛮Nanban,
北狄Hokuto”, etc. and furthermore they claim a part of national
wealth, we have a hard time dealing with that country.

Two ways to deal with neighboring powers
There are two ways to deal with neighboring powers.
(A) Since we are not very competitive with a large country,
we will express our sincerity from the beginning, keep following,
take a good mood and ask to discount money paid to the
government even a little.

(B) Even if you know that it is not comparable to the great powers,
resist thoroughly. No matter how big the power is, there are
weak points. If you pull the opponent's army into your territory,
you can bring it to a draw even if you don't win.
Persistently fight guerrillas. Then, guide the enemy to a place
where your army is easy to fight and hit it with all your strength.
If your army wins a local battle, don't think of trying to get
into the other coutry with a momentum. Immediately after your
winning, respond to the peace while saving partner's face.
However, since you won the battle, you don't pay the payment.

Loss and gain of these two ways
(A)There is no human damage, but the small country must
continue to pay upfront payments. The economic burden
of the small country will be heavy.
(B)The small country doesn't have to pay upfront payments,
but the small country fights against powerful opponents,
resulting in many deaths.

Vietnamese who keep fighting without surrender

In response to China, the next major power, people who
lived on the Korean Peninsula chose (A) and those who
lived in Vietnam chose (B).
As a result, people who lived on the Korean peninsula did
not fight with the Chinese dynasty. On the other hand, Vietnam,
which succeeded in becoming independent from China
about 1000 years ago, has become a history of fighting
with China since its independence. China invaded Vietnam
every time the dynasty changed.

This greatly changed the temperament of the people of both
countries. People in the Korean peninsula have been practicing
China for more than 1000 years, so “Flattery” has become a habit
(see “Super-educated society and authoritarianism, a Korean
disease that will never be cured” https: // jbpress.ismedia.
jp/articles/-/48587).
Among the dynasties, “清Qing”, in particular, demanded a large
amount of tribute for about 300 years in the early modern era
because of the wrong response when Qing founded. People in
the Korean peninsula continued receiving humiliating treatment.

At Korean Peninsula "両班Yang Pan" (the rule class of
高麗Koma and the 李氏Yi-Dynasty age) etc. aristocracy
has the strong tendency which despises common people.
This is probably because both groups were slaved to China,
and their depression turned to the common people.
Both the nobility and the common people continued to feel
depressed. It seems that it created the culture of “恨Han”.
They are poor at strong people but arrogant at weak ones.
This became the basic principle of action for people living
on the Korean Peninsula. "Princess Nuts" is on this extension.

I think that the problems of military comfort women and
drafted workers(recruiters) can be interpreted from these
ethnic feelings. If Japan doesn't attack, it will take a bullish
attitude. Reasonable dialogue is impossible.

In the 21st century, when China's influence became strong,
it was encouraging in many ways for Japan to make friends
in the vicinity to compete with China. However, even if you
ask for it in Korea, it is vain. The people of the Korean Peninsula
have always lived in China. They also do "speaking diplomacy"
without hesitation. They are not competing against China.
Vietnamese people never give up.
From this perspective, it is clear which country Japan should
join. Vietnam, which has been experiencing remarkable economic
growth in the 21st century, can be the best economic and military
partner for Japan to compete with China.

There will be intelligent international people in Korea.
“Korea has to part from the past. If it cannot, Korea will lag
behind India, Brazil, Indonesia, etc.”
There must be a person who seriously preaches like Gandhi,
at the expense of himself. But sadly, not yet.
