all of us at telna are deeply moved by the events unfolding in Japan. Trying
to do our part to help customers whose families are affected by this
catastrophe, we have decided to offer free calls to landlines in Japan
throughout Thursday, March 31st. There is nothing to do to take advantage of
this offer. The charge for all calls to landlines in Japan placed between
March 11th (retroactively) until March 31st will be waived on your March
bill (note that the calls will still show with their regular prices in
mytelna, due to limitations in our billing system).
Note that this offer only applies on calls to landlines, placed through our
direct-dialed and dial-around services (from landlines or cellphones). Calls
to cellphones in Japan will continue to be charged at the regular rates,
starting at 16.9c/min.
Since this offer also extends to new customers, we invite you to reach out
to anyone you know who may be affected by the disaster, and needs to place
calls to Japan to locate friends and family.
