CD仕様比較シリーズ、第2弾はジャネット・ジャクソンの『Design of a Decade 1986/1996』です。

Janet Jacksonの場合、ほとんど毎回、収録内容が日米その他で異なるんですが、それを全てご紹介するのは大変なので、一番わかりやすいコンピレーション盤を取り上げることにしました。

これに収録されているのは基本的に『Control』（1986年）、『Rhythm Nation 1814』（1989年）、『janet.』（1993年）の3枚のアルバムから採ったものですが、（その時点での）新曲も2作入っています。

国際盤はUS盤に比べて曲数が多いですが、その分、ほとんどの曲がUS盤よりも短くなっています。

なお、当アルバムの場合、ジャケットにもバリエーションがありますので、併せてご紹介します。
