Translation conference on Nov 22
Japan Association of Translators (JAT) is pleased to announce that
PROJECT Tokyo, the PROfessional Japanese-English Conference on
Translation, will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008 from 9 a.m.
to 5:30 p.m. at the Tokyo Convention Hall in Hamamatsu-cho, Tokyo.
PROJECT Tokyo will feature a variety of presentations, workshops,
panel discussions and rapid-fire replays on topics related to
translation and interpreting between Japanese and English. There will
be two underlying themes to the event: (i) Translation as a business
and (ii) Starting out as a translator; speakers are not restricted to
these themes, however. Registration is 6,000 yen for JAT members,
7,000 yen for non-JAT members and 5,000 yen for full-time students. An
evening social event with food and live music is also planned on the
same day.

there is no deadline as such, early registration is recommended as
numbers are limited to 200 and we expect to reach capacity well ahead
of time.
