パリに住む親友(仏人)と連絡を取りました。
パリにあるパスツール研究所に勤めている化学者です。
毎朝、自転車で通勤中との事。
そしてコロナウイルスに有益な研究の最中との事。
頑張って欲しい！！！
今、世界中のお医者さん、看護婦さん、医療関係者の方々が、前戦で戦ってます。
感謝、感謝、感謝！！！
私達ができる事は、感染が広がらないように外出を極小にして人と会わない事。
手洗い、ウガイ(国際的に手洗いは言われているけど、ウガイは、あまり聞かない？)をまめにする事。
(手を洗いたくても水が無い人も沢山いる！)
心身共に病気にならないように管理する事、こんな時だから正しい情報をこまめに共有し合う事、、、、
今少しの我慢が後々大きな我慢を止めますよね！
昨夜、観たジャック・アタリ氏の悲観的、楽観的な見方より『前向きに』と言う言葉が心に残りました。
いつ、どのようにコロナ禍が終息するか分かりませんが『その日を前向きに待ちましょう！』
I contacted my old friend living in France, who is a researcher at the Pasteur Institute.
He says he's commuting with his bicycle these days.
And his research can be very helpful for fighting the novel coronavirus.
We're sending him all the strength!!!
Right now, the doctors, nurses and all members in the medical field are fighting at the frontline all over the world.
We cannot be thankful enough!
What we can do is to prevent spreading of the virus by reducing physical contact as much as possible.
Wash hands often (and cleanse the mouth-which doesn't seem to be a popular measure abroad??)
(but there are many people who cannot wash their hands even if they want to!)
We have to take care to be healthy, both physically and mentally, and share updates of correct information between each other..
Our patience now will help prevent a much bigger pain later on!
Last night, the words of Jacques Attali stayed with me, that instead of being pessimistic or optimistic, the way forward is to be positive:
"The pessimist is always in autumn; the optimist is always in spring. The positive prepares to live, and to make others live, at best all the seasons to come."
We don't know when or how the corona madness will fade out but let's wait positively!
