アン王女のドキュメンタリーで

王女が分単位でいろいろな団体を訪問している姿を見て以来

Windsor家を尊敬する気持ちが強くなりました。

都合よく、忙しいときだけを撮影した、ようにはとても見えませんでした。

それはまわりの人たちのインタビューからもわかりました。

また王女はとてもシャープで頭のよい人であることもわかりました。

Philip殿下逝去後、昨日、一昨日と追悼番組（二つのうちの一つは、エリザベス女王とフィリップ殿下という追悼番組ではなかったですが）をみて

フィリップ殿下に対するイメージもかわりました。

アン王女と同じく、公務に生きた人であったことがわかりました。

10年以上前、会社にバイトできた高校生の女の子が

今「銀」かなにかといっていたのを覚えています。

ボランティア等社会に貢献するほどにポイントをもらえる、というようなシステムで素晴らしいことだなと思いました。

Australia

The Award was established in Australia in 1959 on the initiative of Sir Adrien Curlewis CVO CBE (son of Herbert Curlewis) in 1958. By 1962 the Award was available in all state and territories and today over 28,000 young Australians commence a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award each year.[14]

Over 775,000 young Australians have now completed their Award and approximately 45,000 are actively participating in the Award program each year, supported by a network of 60,000 volunteers acting as Award Leaders, supervisors and assessors.[15]

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award can be found in over 1,200 locations and institutions across Australia including cities, rural and remote areas, through Government and independent schools, universities, Indigenous communities, refugee support programs, detention centres, community organisations, disability groups and other youth programs.[15]

The National Chairman is currently The Hon Gary Nairn AO, and the National CEO is Peter Kaye AM. The Hon Larry Anthony is the Chair of The Friends of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Australia and Andrew Murray AM is the Deputy Chair

茶化されることが多く、実際に毎日どう過ごされているかなどは

知る由もありませんでした。

It was one of Prince Philip’s most somber moments in the public eye: walking with young Prince William and Prince Harry at the funeral procession for their mother, Princess Diana.

The Duke of Edinburgh, who died on April 9 at age 99, was reportedly very concerned about the emotional well-being of his young grandsons during preparations for the funeral in 1997.

“We were all talking about how William and Harry should be involved and suddenly came Prince Philip’s voice,” a former government relations director told the UK's Evening Standard, recalling a conference call with the duke in the lead-up to the funeral. “We hadn’t heard from him before, but he was really anguished. ‘It’s about the boys,’ he cried, ‘They’ve lost their mother.’”

At a dinner before the funeral, Prince Philip apparently said to his grandsons, “I’ll walk if you walk.”

Princess Anne also recalled her father's approach to helping her nephews at that time in an interview after Prince Philip's death with the U.K.'s ITV.

"I seem to remember them saying that, in fact, it was a question of, 'If you'll do it, I'll do it,'" she said. "That was him as a grandfather. ... 'If that's what you want to do and if you want me to be there, I will be there.'"

True to his word, he walked alongside Prince William, 15, and Prince Harry, 12, during the procession from Kensington Palace to Westminster Abbey in London. The boys were also joined by their father, Prince Charles, and their mother’s younger brother, Earl Spencer.

Prince Harry looked back on that difficult day in an interview with the BBC in 2017, recalling how his father supported him and his brother during that time.

“One of the hardest things for a parent to have to do is to tell your children that your other parent has died," he said. "How you deal with that I don't know but, you know, he was there for us."

それから、エリザベス女王がPrince PhilipのThe Duke of Edinburgh's Awardを設けた貢献に対して、殿下は決してAppraisalを好む人ではないけれどもと前置きして賞与していた場面は感動しました。

私利私欲なし（必要ないですね）で社会に貢献するのみ、の人であったのだなと思いましたよ。
