Grand Am Rolex GT - Segal Brings GT Points Lead To Detroit DETROIT, May 31, 2012: Jeff Segal brings the GT class points leadand a two-race win streak to Detroit this weekend where he willjoin co-driver Emil Assentato and the No. 69 AIM Autosport TeamFXDD Ferrari 458 Italia Grand Am team in the GRAND-AM Rolex SportsCar Series debut on the temporary road course on Belle Isle. Following practice and qualifying on Friday, the weekend'sfeatured two-hour sprint race can be seen live on SPEED, thisSaturday, June 2, at 5 p.m. EDT/2 p.m. PDT.

While Segal and Assentato have been championship-winning teammatesfor the last five years, the AIM Autosport Team FXDD Ferrari 458Italia program is new for the 2012 season. Segal and his teammatesfinished eighth in the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona, secondone race later at Barber Motorsports Park and then scoredback-to-back victories at Homestead-Miami Speedway in late Apriland earlier this month at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP). "Looking back, the first quarter of the season has clearlygot to be seen as a huge success for us," Segal said."To achieve these results with such a new effort has beenhugely gratifying, and while we entered the season with plenty ofconfidence, I will say that I didn't expect things to come togetherthis quickly!" The next challenge will be to match the opening-quarter success ina tough stretch of four races in June that begins in Detroit thisweekend. The series moves to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course nextweekend before another pair of back-to-back event weekends to endthe month at Road America and Watkins Glen.

"Good or bad, we've now set the bar really high forourselves, and now we will be looking to race to that level ofexpectation in the next string of races," Segal said."With four races packed into five weeks it will be hard workfor the team, and I'm happy that we can at least arrive at Detroitriding the momentum and energy of two straight wins and the pointslead." Segal is a native of Philadelphia, which is just 45 minutes awayfrom NJMP, and now lives in Miami, not far from Homestead-MiamiSpeedway. Both races represented home-track victories for Segal buthe is not feeling that way heading to Motown. "Definitely not a home race for me," Segal said."If anything, I feel like we're marching into hostileterritory with a nice big target on our back this weekend! I'm surethere is no event that the domestic brands want to win more thanDetroit, so I'm sure that they'll arrive with their best footforward which makes our job even more difficult. Another challenge is the unfamiliarity of the Belle Isle trackitself which is new to Segal and the majority of his GRAND-AM RolexSeries competitors. "Belle Isle is a totally new experience for me, and thatdefinitely makes things a bit more tense heading into theweekend," Segal said. "Since the track is a temporarytrack, there's obviously no chance to go testing and there isn'tmuch out there in the way of existing videos or notes to study.I've done what I can with the materials available, and I've alsotried a few simulations of the track on the computer, but asimulation is always going to have a hard time capturing the nuanceof a street course. I'll show up for the weekend early, try to walkthe track before practice, and hope that I'm a fast learner whenpractice begins!" Detroit is also the first GRAND-AM Rolex Series "shortweekend" of the season after the year's opening racesfeatured three and in some cases four full days of on-trackpractice, qualifying and racing. Sharing the weekend card with theIndyCar Series has made the Rolex Series race a tight two-dayevent. "The shorter weekends are absolutely more challenging for us,especially given that we're running this car which is so new toGRAND-AM," Segal said. "Without the benefit of the testdays we now face a lot more pressure to arrive at the track with apretty good setup and make small refinements through the practicesessions, and that is going to challenge our engineering staff.Fortunately, we've learned a lot about our car in the last fourraces, so I'm feeling more confident in our understanding of thecar and its needs with each event." AIM Autosport Team FXDD went through a full schedule of maintenanceand preparation on the Ferrari 458 in the two weeks since the NewJersey victory. "We've had to do a lot of maintenance to the car, mostly toprepare for the next marathon of races where we won't have muchdowntime between events," Segal said. Co2 Fractional Laser Machine

Cisco gets boost in server shipments in q1, gartner says - 1 Din Car DVD Player GPS

Worldwide server shipments grew at a slower-than-expected clipduring the first quarter of 2012, but Cisco, which has a smallmarket share, beat market trends as top server makers struggledwith slow demand and weak economic conditions, research firmGartner said on Wednesday. Server shipments worldwide during the first quarter this year were2.35 million units, growing by just 1.5 percent compared to thesame quarter last year, according to Gartner. The top three server vendors -- Hewlett-Packard, Dell and IBM --saw declines in shipments. However, server shipments grew forFujitsu and Cisco, which were in fourth and fifth place,respectively.

Cisco is mainly known as a networking equipment vendor, but it alsodeals in blade and rack servers with integrated storage andnetworking hardware. The servers, sold under the Unified Computingand Servers (UCS) product line, bind systems together in datacenters. At 1.7 percent, Cisco's server market share was minuscule duringthe first quarter this year, but the company's server shipmentswent up by 70.9 percent year over year to 40,498 units. Fujitsu'sserver shipments jumped by 12.7 percent to 86,360 units. Cisco's servers were sold to a small customer base, but the growthwas in part due to some effective sales and marketing efforts, saidJeffrey Hewitt, research vice president for Gartner.

"The critical element from which Cisco benefits is their datacenter penetration level in the network. This provides them aplatform from which to push Cisco UCS," Hewitt said. Server shipments otherwise declined due to a combination ofeconomic and supply chain factors, Hewitt said. Some customers are holding back for servers based on new processors such as Intel's Xeon E5-2600 , which started shipping in March, Hewitt said. VW Car DVD Player

The processorupgrade was Intel's first major chip upgrade for standard x86servers in close to two years, and the chip maker said demand forthe chip was strong. Server shipments were also hurt due to hard-drive supplyconstraints, a fall-over from previous quarters, Hewitt said. Harddrives have been in short supply due to last year's floods inThailand, preventing vendors from meeting server demand. In addition, weaker-than-expected growth in Asia-Pacific and a softWestern European economy did not help the market, Hewitt said. Server shipments declined by 0.4 percent for top server maker HP,which sold 685,015 units during the quarter, a 29.2 percent marketshare. Dell's shipments declined by 1 percent to total 503,450units, and its market share also dropped to 21.5 percent. IBM'sshipments declined by 1.7 percent year over year. IBM held the top spot over Hewlett-Packard on server revenue, butyear over year, revenue for both companies declined. China DVD Headrest Monitors

IBM's revenuedeclined year over year by 7.2 percent to US$3.5 billion, a 28.1percent market share. HP was in a close second with a 27.8 percentmarket share on revenue of $3.46 billion, a 9.7 percent declineyear over year. Revenue also declined for Dell and Oracle, whichheld the third and fourth spots, respectively. A surprise was thefifth-placed Fujitsu, whose revenue increased by 4.5 percent. IBM in a statement said a lot of its revenue contribution came fromthe Power Systems servers.

The systems use Power processors, whichare non-x86 server chips typically used in high-end servers. IBM'scompetitors in the non-x86 server space are Hewlett-Packard, whichoffers servers based on Intel's Itanium chips, and Oracle, whichsells servers based on the SPARC chips. IBM increased quarterly revenues by 4 percent year over year onPower Systems, the company said. The company also said revenue wasbolstered by System x servers, which include standard rack, bladeand tower servers with x86 chips.
