新しい年もアッと言う間に10日も過ぎましたね。
新年は、something new と、特に 経済再生活動にまい進している節約母であります。
欲しかったもの、狙っていたものが、割安になって居る時の幸福感は主婦ならではかもしれません。
現在、モーキヤー（収入のある人）ではないので、特に感じるかも・・
モーキヤーは沖縄の言葉で、儲けるからきています。
沖縄では言葉に er を付けて、～する人の意味（英語が入っている訳ですよね。）

は 結婚の慣習です。

と 書いてあったので、まだお礼を書いていません。
ジャネットの長いお便りには、リユニオンのことも書かれていて、それと
以下、英文は JL Keys のレターから引用です。
Reunion - Wesleyannes from Georgia to Japan (I hope!) will reunite・・・・・.
あの懐かしい Miss Munck との思い出も書かれていました。

Years ago at another Wesleyan reunion I ran into Miss Munck, my creative writing professor. She queried (Miss Munck never asked; she queried or inquired or, better yet, questioned and also proferred.), "Janet, are you writing?" I froze. No matter that I had composed hundreds of university exams and, as creative as I could, syllabi, I was taken back to the role of students as I stood before this diminutive bulwark, who sat, staring (Was she staring?), squinting her smile at me through her glasses. "No, Miss Munck, I wouldn't know what to write." Ever smiling as she delivered her instructions, Miss Munck assigned, "Why, Janet, write about your boys!" Of course! Yes, ma'am.
ジャネットとミス・モンクの会話が目に浮かぶようです。
その後に、息子さんのことが少し書かれています。彼女は5年前のリユニオンで会った時に、私にも同じように息子のことを聞きました。
ミス・モンクのことはこちらでも何度か書いたことがありますが、前回のリユニオンの前年にお亡くなりになったようで、とても残念でした。お会いしたかった。
学生時代のことは、その頃特に親しくなくても、同じ時を過ごした仲間として、話題に事欠きません。
と言うことで、第一回の新年会はジョージア仲間で、山ガール＆アルプスの少女ハイジでした！？
話題は、スイスの山のお話など。
