G09 It's all in the hands (Discussing medical Treatments)

彼のレッスンはものすごく久しぶり。
今週はどうだったか？とかレッスンの後の予定は？とか。
月末にTOEICを受ける話をしたような記憶。

テーマは"Alternative remedies(代替医療)"について。
つかみは風邪をひいたとき、薬以外にどんな方法で治すか？
寝るに限りますな。
おいらは紅茶をよく飲むけれども、根拠はあるのかな……。

massage, herbalism, color therapy, yoga, acupuncture, hydrotherapyのうち、
どれが効きそうか？理由を述べよなど。

Main Language:
A lot pf people are suspicious of (conventional medicine).
There's no scientific basis for thinking that (sticking pins in people) will (cure a rash).
I guess there's no harm in trying it.
Reseach has shown that (yoga)...
(My uncle) swears by ...
I seem to remember reading somewhere that...
(Hydrotherapy) might alleviate some minor symptoms, but it won't cure...

alleviate: 〈心身の苦痛などを〉軽くする, 緩和する, 楽にする; 〈問題を〉多少とも解決[解消]する
hydrotherapy:水治療法 (＝water cure)

ラッキーマンツーマン。
テーマは都市の再開発について賛否両論。
G7の"Mega-Mart comes～"にも通じるところ。
再開発によって、経済、環境、アクセスなどどのような影響が現れるかなど。

レッスンの終わりに、まもなく離職する旨を伝えられ驚くと同時に落ち込む。

余談だけど、後日このときのカルテが見えちゃいまして、、、
わしの大きな課題であるFrurncyのところに悪い点がついていました。。。
とほほ。。。
