Honorable Minister of Justice, Mr. Eisuke Mori, Head of Tokyo Immigration Bureau:

We would like to ask you to reconsider the deportation order issued to the family of Mr. Calderon Alran Cruz and to give them special permission for residence in Japan.

Mr. and Mrs. Calderon have been living in Japan for more than 15 years and their daughter, Noriko, was born and raised in Japan. She has spent her entire life here in Japan, therefore Noriko knows little about her parents' mother country, the Philippines. She cannot even speak the language. Under the educational system in the Phillipines, Noriko will be forced to start her education over and enter school as an elementary school first grader because of her unfamiliarity with Tagalog. It is unconscionable that Noriko, who has grown up and attended school with many Japanese children, lose the opportunity to continue her education and be separated from her friends at an age when friends are a key part of development.

She currently attends Warabi Dai-ichi Middle School, where she is a member of the Choir. She studies hard and wants to complete her education in Japan with her friends in an environment that is conducive to positive growth into adulthood.

We strongly demand a special permission for residence for Mr. Calderon Arlan Cruz's family. It is Noriko's right under the Convention on the Rights of the Child that she be allowed to continue her life in Japan as it is in her best interest.
