Finally, here it is. 1976, the last stored video on my channel and the last video I have completed before taking a 6 month long hiatus. The date this one was uploaded was March 9th 2016. Publication of this video marks the end of a certain era for me. From now on I plan to make much better videos, I want to lift my standards to a new level of quality. At this point I can't tell which video will come next, 2008, 2015 or 2016, but I am working on these and hopefully I will deliver my best work so far. As of now, enjoy what might be my last 70s video.

The summer of 1976 I was 18 years old, fit and lean. In the year of 2019 I am still somewhat fit and lean but have to work at it 10 times harder and more prone to injuries

Charlie's Angels! Kate Jackson was always my favourite, and ironically she's aged the best.
I was 12 in 1976 and I loved the vibe the '70's had: cool people, great music and the best cars too.
RIP John Thaw, Farrah Fawcett and Linda McCartney.

That scene of Sylvester Stallone going up the stairs omg that’s one of the greatest film scenes ever , Sly and Arnie is one of the two most inspirational being I’ve ever heard of , Sly meant every bit of that Rock movie he was the lowest bottom and he climbed to the stars 🌟 omg so awesome to that again and it was so awesomest of you to put it in the very end , thank you 🙏🏼❤️

For anyone wondering that movie clip at :32 is from "Baby Blue Marine." Richard Gere's uniformed character is a traumatized Marine who has returned from combat. He is actually in his 20s but the horrors of war have made him an old man.

In a 1985 group conversation with a Marine drill instructor the sergeant said the Marine Corps discontinued in the '50s issuing baby blue uniforms to Marine Corps failures.

I was 13 (had an amazing birthday party too!), and my parents bought a brand new bicentennial edition Pinto Station Wagon, and we went on a 3 week vacation, from SoCal (Long Beach) to Virginia and Massachusetts! We saw family out there, but ALSO toured DC and some battle grounds!!!! It was an AWESOME vacation!!!!!! 😎👍🇺🇸

I was 13 years old and remember all these great ! I spend my teenage years in the 70's and early 80's and what a fantastic time they were. The youth today have such a shitty time, everything revolves around social media, obssession with self image, glued endlessly to their phones rather than real relationships and partying and clubs and great drugs!

Helen Rudd Where did you live at the time that it was so hot? I lived in Florida (still do) and I don't remember the heat really coming in until more like '80.. and then again around '85. But even then, not like it is now :(

I was 4 going to be 5 in December 2, I remember very well what it was like back then, the music, t.v. shows and movies and cartoons and game shows, even the soap operas and don't forget the fashion, it's not at all what's it's like now, I am not very happy how things are going on in the world now, it just seems like there is just more evil in the world and such hate and crazy stuff going on in the world now, and the viruse that's going on in the world now doesn't make it any better, I hope next year will be a better year for everyone, please be safe and stay strong and please wear your mask and social distancing is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo important too, God bless, I say this because I care about everyone in the world!!!!

It was hot as balls that summer. I was 9. Everyone I knew was young and in good health. Now, so many love ones are no longer with us. God, I’d love to go back to this summer of my youth. We were poor but I had great friends and great times.

It was cool. I was 15 in 1976. Good memories and all but I wouldn’t go back if I could. Being 15 wasn’t easy, I might go back to 1986 if I had a chance and get more things right. I might be gettin old but life is good. I wish things were going better for the world today but I’m confident they will get better. It’s kinda popular for folks in my age group to diss young people but I think we have some outstanding young people coming up with opportunities we didn’t have, and to be fair, maybe we wasn’t as smart as we remember us being.

The summer in England went on for weeks and weeks with not a drop of rain. It became an official drought and stand pipes were put in place. I was 19 at the time and remember seeking solice in the heavy rock/metal bands because I couldn't and still can't stand that disco rubbish. Lol!!

My fondest memories of 1976 was first and foremost the sense of patriotism with the bicentennial also Rocky, The Outlaw Josie Wales and the release of Boston's first album and RUSH's album 2112. Oh and how could I forget...the 1976 Polaris TX.

I wasn’t even born in 1976 but watching this made me realise how good life was back then. What a funky and soulful year that was. Yearning for the past is pointless however, as this kind of music and feeling of joy will never be repeated in our lifetime sadly.

I was 11 and 1976 was definitely one of if not the best year of my childhood. We drove to Florida in our big station wagon cross country just like the Griswolds. My dad put a foam mattress in the back and we laid with our feet hanging out the back window most of the way, there were no seat belt laws then. Disney World was amazing and they had an excellent Bicentennial parade. One song you missed was Afternoon delight by Starland Vocal Band, it was played constantly there and back in every state.

My grandpa was 24 in 1976 and my grandma was 22 my other grandpa was 33 and my grandma was 34 my grandpas mother was 45 and my grandmas mother was 60 and her father was 54 and my other grandpas mother was 62 and only my grandpa my grandma and my other grandpa is still alive they are 68, half 65 and 77 years old

I graduated high school in 1976. It was the bicentennial so television was covered in "bicentennial minute" mini-commercial spots hosted by Hal Linden. There were bad clothes, bad hair, endless TV spin-offs (most of which stunk to high heaven) and 50's music recycled into disco. I was working at Magic Mountain, serving fast food, working the rides at Children's World and getting ready to start college. I eventually quit both by the time 1980 mercifully arrived. I hated the 70's.

And again no KISS! WTF! They were growing into the super band that exist still to this day. They released the album "Destroyer" with the single "Beth" that won an award for song of the year! Just don't understand that. Thumbs down for that one!
