In ancient times, the world was ruled by cruel and ferocious giants. The giants would not stop burning, killing and looting. Because these giants had super powers, anybody who revolted against their ruthless rule would be wiped out completely. At that time, there was a happy family living in the remote area. Although the living condition was very bad, the family did not mind at all. It is a big family including father Tom, mother Helen and three boys Mike, Jack and Zachary respectively and three girls Alva, Elaine and Holly respectively. Thanks to their home near the sea, father Tom and the boys could get extra food to fill their bellies. The boys toiled all the year round except the youngest one because Zachary was the mother’s favorite. The girls helped their mother clean the house, weave cloth and raise livestock except Holly because she was the apple of mother’s eye. One day, the giants made an inspection tour of the remote area. The leader found the beautiful Helen and fell in love with her at the first sight. He grabbed Helen immediately and was about to leave. At that time, father Tom and other children came back. When they saw what had happened, they wanted to rescue Helen. But the giants were so powerful that one punch on the ground, there appeared a huge crack and Mike and Alva fell down to the deep side of the earth. Another swing made Jack and Elaine fell into the deep and vast sea. Then the leader trod so hard on the chest of father Tom that he died quickly. Helen was so sad but she had to give in to keep her favorite children safe. In the end, the giants went back to the fairy mountain with Helen, Zachary and Holly. Fortunately Mike and Alva did not die and they found certain magic fruits and got incredible super powers by eating this kind of fruits. On the other hand, owing to the capability of going fishing on the sea, Jack and Elaine survived and got amazing power from a kind of wonderful pears. With these magic powers, these two couples climbed the fairy mountain to rescue their mother and siblings and avenge their father’s murder. With the help of mother Helen, the brothers beat the giants in the end. In order to keep the world in order, mother Helen divided the world into three parts: the sky ruled by Zachary and Holly; the earth ruled by Mike and Alva; the sea ruled by Jack and Elaine. From then on, the world went back to peace and prosperity.

In a word, my beliefs about the Greek mythology and the Bible affected my creation deeply. For example, I was inspired by Iliad written by Homer and the Story of Eden from the Bible which could be concluded by the similar condition of Tom and Helen to that of Adam and Eve. From the plot of what happened on the namesake Helen, the readers could find the clue of the Trojan War. Therefore the characters of my story were imbued with a sense of mystery and wonder.
