下面为大家整理一篇优秀的essay代写范文 -- The power of the President,文章讲述美国总统被认为是世界上最有权力的人之一,而其他人则对总统职位持相反看法,因为总统权力在很大程度上受到限制。

American president is deemed as one of the most powerful person in the world while others holds the opposite opinion for presidency powers are limited to a large extent.

According to the Constitution of The United States, president has the main power-administrative power which includes managing state affairs and government’s all work; releasing decrees and appointing officials; and raising the national guard. Besides, presidency is also involved in lawmaking, judicature and foreign affairs. To be specific, president can veto any bill of congress, unless two-thirds overturn his veto. As for judicial rights, president can appoint the supreme judicial officials with the approval of the senate. When it comes to foreign affairs, presidents manage diplomats with the right of signing treaty with other countries without subject to the senate. In this aspect, it is said that American president deals better in diplomatic affairs than in domestic issues. A politician has conducted a survey and found out that from 1948 to 1964, 59 percent of president’ proposals in diplomatic affairs are passed by senate while only 49 percent in domestic proposals are agreed. The data has shown that the popularity that the president gains may terrify the senate who may weigh when confronting the president. Generally speaking, nearly 60 percent of popularity may accept the presidents during their first tenure. However, as time goes by, a majority of presidents might lose affection and credibility. Presidency power can be restricted and influenced by many factors, such as contemporarily national economic condition.

As is known to all, the United States is under a system of checks and balance for which powers are divided into three separate branches which include the legislative branch, the executive branch and the judicial branch. This way in fact prevents presidents from accumulating excessive power. To tell the truth, any regime exists for the sake of popularity’s support. Therefore, even being fressful between the administrative department and the congress, confronting various political parties, the popular will, and other organized interest groups, the president should and must strive for approaching the populace.

All in all, presidency power is the combination of the will and support coming from the popularity. The law enforcement stems from citizens’ recognition of the legality and justice about national constitution, originates from their willing obey and awe, not for fear of tyranny. The law is formulated to protect all citizens’ overall benefit, not for maintaining some reigning orders. As the saying goes,” the water that bears the boat is the same that swallows it up”, no matter how powerful the president is, he should respect and put the popularity’s benifits at the first place. In a word, a grand president doesn’t exist without the support of popularity.
