ダビデのミクタム
神よ。私をお守りください。私は、あなたに身を避けます。
私は、主に申し上げました。「あなたこそ、私の主。私の幸いは、あなたのほかにはありません。」
地にある聖徒たちには威厳があり、私の喜びはすべて、彼らの中にあります。
ほかの神へ走った者の痛みは増し加わりましょう。私は、彼らの注ぐ血の酒を注がず、その名を口に唱えません。
主は、私へのゆずりの地所、また私への杯です。あなたは、私の受ける分を、堅く保っていてくださいます。
測り綱は、私の好む所に落ちた。まことに、私への、すばらしいゆずりの地だ。
私は助言を下さった主をほめたたえる。まことに、夜になると、私の心が私に教える。
私はいつも、私の前に主を置いた。主が私の右におられるので、私はゆるぐことがない。
それゆえ、私の心は喜び、私のたましいは楽しんでいる。私の身もまた安らかに住まおう。
まことに、あなたは、私のたましいをよみに捨ておかず、あなたの聖徒に墓の穴をお見せにはなりません。
あなたは私に、いのちの道を知らせてくださいます。あなたの御前には喜びが満ち、あなたの右には、楽しみがとこしえにあります。

PSALM 16
The Hope of the Faithful, and the Messiah's Victory
A Michtam of David.
Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
“You are my Lord,
My goodness is nothing apart from You.”
As for the saints who are on the earth,
“They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.”
Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god;
Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer,
Nor take up their names on my lips.
O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot.
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.
I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel;
My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will rest in hope.
For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
