“I think P4 was the best possible result today and we had a little bit of luck with Seb retiring, but I’m satisfied with the points we scored considering the penalties and pace of Ferrari and Mercedes. There wasn’t too much going on for me once I cleared the mid-field traffic and from there I had a bit of a lonely race until the Safety Car closed us all up. We were clearly a bit slower than the top three today but at the end of the race it was also more difficult being on the medium compound tyre when the others were on the soft. For sure we maximised the result but of course we want to be scoring more podiums and victories so we still have work to do as the others are very strong. Now I’m looking forward to Suzuka and we want to do the best we can for all the Japanese fans at Honda’s home race.”

“I always knew qualifying would be tricky on such a power sensitive circuit but the lap was good and there wasn’t much more in it. The wind picked up and it seemed to hurt us in the last sector which is normally our strongest point so I couldn’t really use the full potential of the car. Yesterday looked positive but Ferrari didn’t have their engines turned up and they always open it up in qualifying as we could see today. The corners around here are mostly ninety degrees and very short, so you can’t gain a lot of lap time out of them but to be P4 and splitting the Mercedes is pretty good. With the penalty and starting ninth we need to make a clean start, stay alert and hope the people around us do the same. I think the realistic target is probably fifth but we will of course try to do better and it will be interesting to see what happens with Mercedes on a different strategy.”

We followed our own programme, tried quite a few things set-up wise and got a good balance, especially in the last sector but even the first sector with the long straight looked competitive. When you have a good feeling with the car it comes alive in the last sector which is really nice after the strange weekend we had in Singapore. It looks like it may rain tomorrow so that will also mix things up but hopefully the car will also work well in those conditions. We will of course try and do our best in qualifying as the five place grid penalty will be applied after the session, so it is still very important to be quick but at least you can overtake around here and if you are fast you can get to the front. It's only Friday and too early to make any predictions as everyone will improve but it is a very positive start.”

“Of course we always want to win but finishing on the podium and gaining one place on a track where you can’t really overtake is positive. It’s true that we came here hoping for more but this is still a good result for us, especially with the pace that the others had yesterday in qualifying. Most of the race was about managing the pace to keep the tyres alive and luckily that worked out for me. Charles was managing his tyres out front and the pace was pretty slow but that kept everyone really close and allowed me to get the undercut on Lewis. We had good pace after the pit stop and I was comfortable in third even with all the safety car re-starts until the last few laps when Lewis was pushing hard to overtake me on newer tyres, but luckily we were able to hold on.

"I wouldn’t say that today was that exciting from a racing perspective but Singapore has a lot of plus points being a street circuit, really tough on the body and just being a cool track to drive on. This wasn’t exactly the weekend we hoped for but we will keep pushing before next weekend.”

ってのが　その通りになっちゃった感じですね・・・

それにしても

フェラーリが急に速くなった・・

イタリアとシンガポール　コース特性が全然違うから

単にコースと相性が良かったから速かった　って訳では無さそうだ。

シーズン中の開発競争も壮絶なんだな　　って実感する。

“It was a good day. We are competitive and the car was working really well in both practice sessions. I had traffic in the last sector on my qualifying simulation and I only improved by two tenths compared to the hard tyre run, which means we have more to come. I think we look strong on long and short runs but of course, Lewis also looks very fast. It’s not an easy track to understand and it is very bumpy out there but with a competitive car it’s really enjoyable to drive. There are always things that can be improved which we will look at now and this race is 95 percent about qualifying and I’m feeling positive so far.”

Hi everybody, it was great to have a break over the summer and to see family and friends after a busy first half of the year. But with the batteries recharged, I was anxious to get back racing. The Belgium-Italy back-to-back was  challenging for meand the team, but we will keep pushing and come back stronger…

It was a tough weekend for the whole motorsport community. Our racing colleague Anthoine Hubert lost his life in a crash in Formula 2 on Saturday and Juan Manuel Correa was seriously injured. It was an accident that could happen to any of us at any point. It was the toughest reminder that, despite safety being very high in motorsport, it’s not 100% safe and it will never be 100% safe. As a driver, I will make sure to try and help the FIA improving the safety as much as we can. Sunday morning was tough for everyone who had to race that day. But I feel racing was the right thing to do, I think it helped the paddock and it was the best way to honour Anthoine and send strength to Juan Manuel.

it was great　 to have a break over the summer

良かったよ      夏休みを取れて

                    and

                     to see family and friends

　　　　　　　家族や友達に合えた　事がね

                                                     after a busy first half of the year.

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　忙しく過ごした今年の前半戦の後でね。

But

with the batteries recharged,

バッテリーに充電したので

I was anxious to get back racing.

レースに戻るのを切望してるんだ。

The Belgium-Italy back-to-back   was challenging　　　　 for me and the team,

ベルギーとイタリアの連戦は　　　　チャレンジングだったよ　　　僕とチームにとってはね

but

でも

we will 　keep pushing　

僕達は　　プッシュし続けて

　　　　  and

             come back stronger…

　　　　　より強くなって戻ってくる　つもりだったんだよ・・

It was a tough weekend　 for the whole motorsport community.

厳しいい週末だったね　　　　　モータースポーツのコミュニティ全体にとってはね。

Our racing colleague Anthoine Hubert　 lost his life

僕等の僚友の　アンソニー　ハーバートが　　　　彼の人生を終えてしまったんだ

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　in a crash in Formula 2 on Saturday

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　日曜のＦ２でのクラッシュでね

and

それに

Juan Manuel Correa  was seriously injured.

ジャン　マニュエルが        深刻な怪我をしてしまったんだ。

　　　　　　　＊＊Formula 2　：Ｆ２→　　Ｆ１の１つ下のレースカテゴリー

It was an accident

それは　　アクシデントなんだ

　　　　　that could happen to any of us at any point.

　　　　　　僕らの内の誰にでも　どこででも起こりえる（アクシデントなんだ）。

It was the toughest reminder that,

この事故によって　キツク思い起こされたよ

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　despite safety being very high in motorsport,

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　モータースポーツのとても高度な安全性にも関わらず

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　it’s not 100% safe  and  it will never be 100% safe.

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　100％安全ではないし　　100％安全になる事も無いって事をね

I will make sure　 to try and help the FIA improving the safety

FIAの安全性の改善に努め　そして支援するつもりだよ

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　as much as we can.

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　僕等の　出来る限りね。

Sunday morning was tough 　　　for everyone who had to race that day.

日曜の朝は　キツイものになったよ　　　その日にレースをする全ての人にとってね。

But

でも

I feel　　　　　　　　　 racing was the 　　right thing to do,

僕は　こう感じたんだ　　レースをする事が　　正しい行動だってね

I think　　　　 　 it helped the paddock

こう思うんだ　　　レースをする事でパドックを勇気づけ

　　　　　　　　　and

                          そして

　　　　　　　　　it was the best way 　to honour Anthoine　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　 and

                                                             send strength to Juan Manuel.

　　　　　　　　　アンソニーを弔い、ジャンニ力を送るための最善のやり方だって（思うんだ）

A week ago, I made a hut door window.

一週間くらい前だけど　小屋のドアの窓部分を作ったです。

窓枠の接合部を凹状に　彫刻刀で彫っていきます。

ダイソーの100円彫刻刀で　ちゃんと彫れます！

 

図面書かないで　頭の中で組み合わせイメージしながら　接手彫ったので　

向きが反対になってたら　どーしよう　思ったけど・・・・

ちゃんと　組めました！

 

接合部　若干　隙間開いたけど・・

鋸も100円ダイソーで　刃が厚かったので　こんなもんでしょう。。

I cbined window frame parts

I colored the window frame with green

着色！

　I fited the  window frame  into the door.

　窓枠を　ドアに設置！

　Today's work is complete　!

  そんな　こんなで　窓枠完成です！

たった　これだけの作業だけど　電動工具　一切使ってないから　

5時間以上かかったです。

 

んで　　　この次の日　巨大台風が　来たんだけど・・・・
